Man Charged For Girlfriend's Son Death From Head Slam Against Car Floor

It's unimaginable someone would do this.

Infant Dies After Head Slam In Yishun

An infant, Izz Fayyaz Zayani Bin Ahmad, lost his life Friday (8 Nov 2019) after a man had allegedly slammed his head against the floorboard of a van, causing serious injuries, according to the Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News.

Following the incident, the 27-year-old suspect who was identified as Mohamed Aliff Bin Mohamed Yusoff, was charged with voluntarily causing hurt to the nine-month-old.

The incident was said to have happened at a Block 840A multi-storey car park at Yishun Street 81, between 10pm last Thursday and 12.15am the following morning in the renovation contractor’s van.

It was also reported by Shin Min Daily News that the child is the son of the suspect’s girlfriend.

While it was mentioned that the boy’s name, Izz Fayyaz Zayani Bin Ahmad, was identified in the court papers, the relationship between the accused and the victim was still unclear from the lack of documents.

It took two days after Izz’s death until his family was only able to collect and bury his remains, according to the family members’ Facebook posts.

Meanwhile, in accordance to the Section 325 of the Penal code, if convicted of voluntarily causing grievous hurt on the boy, Mohamed Aliff could face up to 10 years’ jail, a fine or caning.

He is expected to return to court on Friday, November 15, 2019.
