The benefits of swimming for babies are well-documented as an activity that facilitates both physical and cognitive development whilst promoting parent-child bonding. To communicate these benefits, HUGGIES® will be bringing close to 100 babies and their parents in a record-setting event held on Children’s Day (1 October 2010). Held shortly after the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, the event has the secondary aim of encouraging an active lifestyle amongst babies, and encourage the development of future swim champions.
The event will be hosted by the Wild Wild Wet water park as part of their own efforts to promote the benefits of swimming and water safety. The event will also attempt a first-of-its-kind entry into the Singapore Book of Records, as the largest gathering of babies and their parents for a single event.
