15 Hilarious mum comics prove parenting is tougher than it looks

Chelsea Carr, mother and cartoonist, created the hysterical line of comics known as Mum Comics a few years back.

Her motivation for doing so came when a friend of hers told her that becoming a mother would destroy her artistic side.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Carr said that her friend told her that her "art would suffer, and I would damage my chances of doing anything interesting with my life."

Obviously, Carr didn't take too kindly to this response. Her series of Mum Comics have been making mums laugh worldwide ever since creating the series.

She doesn't just do it to prove people wrong, however. "I’ve found doing the comic has been a cathartic way to get through the first year of raising a baby," the mummy/artist said in her interview. "I hope I make comics other parents can relate to and laugh at. Parenting is hard, but having a good sense of humour helps."

Take a look at some of Carr's hilarious comics, and let us know what you think!
