Art has the power to reflect society, inspire dialogue, and imagine new possibilities. The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) continues to embrace this vision with Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together, the sixth and largest edition of its signature Think! Contemporary Preschool Programme. Running from 23 August to 13 September 2025 at HarbourFront Centre, this free exhibition showcases the creativity of preschoolers from 24 schools across Singapore.
As the nation marks its 60th birthday, the exhibition invites visitors to see Singapore’s past, present, and future through the playful yet thoughtful perspectives of its youngest generation.
What Is Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together?
Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together is part of SAM’s ongoing mission to make contemporary art accessible and meaningful to all. In collaboration with 24 preschools, this edition highlights the voices of children who express their ideas about memory, community, and hope through imaginative artworks and storytelling.
What Can You Expect at the Exhibition?
Here are a few things you shouldn’t miss at Hello Future: Sharing Our Journey Together
Vibrant 3D Artworks by Preschoolers
Visitors can look forward to colorful and creative 3D installations, collages, and sculptural works that reflect the children’s unique interpretations of the world around them.
Stories of Identity, Community, and Environment
The young artists explore pressing issues through their work, including:
-
Identity – discovering who we are as individuals and as a nation
-
Community – celebrating the connections that bring people together
-
Environment – envisioning a sustainable and hopeful future
Inspiration From Contemporary Art
The artworks were created after visits to SAM’s Learning Gallery and Robert Zhao Renhui’s Seeing Forest, originally showcased at the Venice Biennale 2024. These experiences gave children a chance to respond to professional works while creating their own artistic expressions.
