Wishing all teachers a Happy Teacher’s Day
Most amongst us revere them and will always remember them with fond memories. Yet for others, the mere mention of teachers conjure up vile words that sadly cannot be reproduced here on a family article!
Whether they are the epitome of evil for some or heaven sent for others, the impact teachers have in influencing our life cannot be stated enough.
I remember my English teacher in college who hunted me more furiously than a poacher after ivory! She kept picking on me just because I used to wear small earrings with my uniform (ok, maybe they weren’t that small after all!). I used to dislike her but she was still responsible for appreciating my writing and for planting the seeds of journalism in my mind, that over time, has blossomed to theAsianparent today. For that, I will always grateful to you Ma’am. Thank you for believing in me, and yes I still love big earrings till today.
Back to present day where some of my closest and dearest friends are walking down the path to being this beacon of wisdom, it has finally dawned upon them (and me) what teachers in our time were going through with us! For all that and more, I sincerely wish all teachers out there a very Happy Teacher’s Day.
