Although the rise of breastfeeding cafés and nursing rooms has been steady, Muslim mummies might still find it hard to find a café that allows them to nurse their babies openly at their premises, and provides delicious HALAL food.

Don't worry mummies, we have created a list of 6 HALAL breastfeeding-friendly cafés in Singapore!

Afterwit Café

Afterwit café was founded by the same guys behind Working Title. Unlike Working Title, they serve Mexican food and at really affordable prices as well. Their food also come in big portions such as the Pato Ahumado Burrito which is a smoke duck oven-baked grilled tortillas with cheddar and mozzarella and served with guacamole and sour cream.

Fika Swedish Cafe & Bistro

Fika serves amazing Swedish food in a cosy country-style interior that comes with private rooms as well. They also offer free wifi and are stroller friendly. A must try on their menu would be the Meatballs which are served with a side of lingonberry jam. These babies have received many thumbs up from food bloggers and reviews!

Working Title

Originally known as "One & Only Burger", Working Title - Burger Bar, what is it called now serves burgers, signature smoothies and more with Halal certified ingredients. Located in the very famous Arab Street, Working Title aims to be different with its breastfeeding-friendly policy. So mummies, if you're in Arab Street hungry and little bub wants to nurse, you know where to go!

La Pastificio is an all-around family-friendly café that serves gourmet coffee and of course, Italian food. Their pastas are mostly customisable and their thin crust pizzas are one of their most well-known menu items. Kids are given cute cutlery and a broad selection of kid-friendly meals. They also have a cosy play area in the café! Don't forget to try their ever-famous cheesecakes when you're there!

Fun fact: They just received their Halal certification last March!

Royz Et Vous

Royz Et Vous is located in the centre of the Central Business District and serves well-known halal food. They are also a famous location spot for a family weekend brunch. Their menu includes food with a Singaporean twist such as the R.E.V Pulut Hitam that is the famous Singaporean dessert but this one is topped with vanilla ice cream.

Additionally, Royz Et Vous provides high chairs as well, making it an all-around family friendly cafe.

Smør's menu is filled with epicurean, wholesome healthy meals that are filled a mix of fruits, lean meats, Omega 3 laden fish produce, organic poultry, "straight from the farm" vegetables along with nuts & seeds. We're not kidding, this menu is heaven for healthy mummies. A must-try would be their meal boxes that come with quality proteins such as the Coconut crusted Salmon fillets (breastmilk-booster alert!) and Rosemary marinated Turkey breast.
