Gong Li and Hubby tobacco tycoon, Oei Hoe Seong to Divorce? Well that’s what the Hong Kong media seems to suggest. The Hong Kong tabloids speculate that the couple could be on the verge of separation. These reports are further fueled by Gong Li’s comments that she stays in hotels whenever she is in Singapore.
Gong Li’s manager, Zeng Jun Zhao has evaded reporters’ probes. He commented, “I have no idea about what goes on in my artistes’ personal lives. I don’t know what her marriage is like.”
However, Xie Xiao’s MicroBlog, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, seems to suggest otherwise. They have stated that they have “exclusive confirmation from Gong Li’s manager that the veteran actress is separated from her husband”.
Reports online also allege that the starlet is currently staying in her own home in Shandong. In 2008 Gong Li became a citizen of Singapore. The couple have no children.
