YEE HAW!

Horse Racing in Singapore has had a long and illustrious history, beginning in 1842 with the formation of the Singapore Sporting Club by a group of racing enthusiasts.

During its varied and colorful past, the racecourse grounds had been used for an array of activities ranging from polo matches to the landing of the first aircraft in Singapore. In 1924, the Singapore Sporting Club changed its name to Singapore Turf Club, to better reflect its role.

Since then, the Club has moved to its current premises in Kranji, with the SGD 3 million Singapore Airlines International Cup being included in the prestigious World Series Racing Championship.

Race Timings (Singapore racedays)

The first race starts at 6.30pm on Fridays, 2.00pm on Saturdays and 1.30pm on Sundays. If the races on Friday fall on a Public Holiday, the first race will start at 1.30pm.

Admission to the Racecourse:

  • S$3.00 (Level 1, Non-air-conditioned) for the general public.
  • S$7.00 (Level 2, Air-conditioned) for the general public.
  • S$20.00 (Level 3, Air-conditioned, @Hibiscus) for general public with access to restaurant with dining facilities.

Dress Code:

  • In the public stands: Casual
For men: slippers, jogging shorts and singlets are NOT allowed.
For ladies: slippers are NOT allowed.
  • In @Hibiscus – Smart Casual
For men and ladies: tattered jeans, shorts, bermudas, T-shirts (without collars and/or sleeves), slippers & sandals are NOT allowed.

Telephone: (65) 6879 1000

Getting here:

The Singapore Racecourse is easily accessible via expressways (PIE/BKE/SLE), MRT (Kranji Station) and public transport (Bus services SBS 170, TIBS 178, 925, 960 and 961).
