Gemini baby | May 21 – June 21
The Gemini baby has an abundance of intellectual energy, with a strong desire for communication, thought, movement and freedom of expression.
You can expect your little one to flourish when they are being preoccupied by multiple things at once.
You have a little natural multitasker on your hands, which is why Gemini is represented by twins but this can be just as exhausting for mum or dad trying to find many things at once to do to keep little Gemini baby satisfied!
Boredom is not OK!
Geminis are very fond of expressing their intelligence and will always push themselves to learn and grow, basically to avoid the boredom that comes the moment they rest.
As a baby, you can expect your little one to be alert and taking in the world followed by shortly exploring their world and fighting to beat their expected milestones by learning them earlier.
As a child, the Gemini will pick up a book, watch television, talk to others – basically any form of learning they can get their hands on.
To a Gemini, boredom is worse than not existing at all!
The Gemini babies can often be restless and nervous, kicking around and crying with no real reason for it. Mum and/or dad will have plenty of hours with frustration, trying to understand why their little Gemini baby won’t stop wriggling around and crying.
As a child, this restless energy can result in the Gemini baby turning sarcastic and critical.
And what about school?
A common school issue found with the Gemini children is that they finish their work so fast, they also complete an artwork on the back and then proceed to interrupt the other children in their class.
This can often be challenging to deal with, but a lot of the time it can come down to boredom leading onto restlessness and sending extra work to complete from home when they have finished their class work can show major improvements in behaviour overall at school.
How to parent a Gemini baby according to their star sign
Aries
Strengths
As an Aries personality, your parenting has a naturally honest and open approach that both your child and you will appreciate. Your self-assurance will see you through times of difficulty, when you child appears emotionally disconnected.
Your highly motivated and action-orientated personality will flourish with the constantly needing to be on the go Gemini. You are able to create imaginative worlds which will inspire and encourage strong thought processes.
Challenges
Who is in control is a common problem for the Aries-Gemini combination and you may at times need to let the reigns loose, although you won’t want to.
Gemini children are more prone to being untrue to their word, which will create great disappointment in the Aries who values honesty.
Taurus
Strengths
The Taurus mum is patient and diplomatic, which allows the Gemini child to feel more free and at ease with who they are, particularly when they are having a tantrum. Taurus mums quite often play music and/or sing with their children, which is a natural relaxant and highly beneficial to the thought based mind of the Gemini child.
Challenges
The Taurus can become easily embarrassed by the free spirit attitude showcased by the Gemini child. Taurus mums have a slow and steady wins the race outlook, which can contrast against the Gemini quick-minded decisions and actions, leading to a lack of understanding between each other on choices.
Gemini
Strengths
Gemini mums tend to have a youthful, “cool” attitude and appearance with their children. They are not natural disciplinarians and that benefits the free-spirited Gemini, promoting a learn-through-your-mistakes approach.
Challenges
Both Gemini mum and Gemini baby are prone to boredom, which will just increase both their irritability. Gemini mums promote educational goals, which if there is boredom in the slow pace of traditional academic learning, can create conflict and arguments between mum and the Gemini child.
Cancer
Strengths
Cancerian mums and Gemini children both tend to have an introspective perception and both like to withdraw within. Cancerian mothers are naturally quite intuitive, which will be helpful in understanding the every changing Gemini.
Let’s face it, they’re hard to keep up with, any extra help counts!
Challenges
Cancerian mums can be naturally overprotective, which will drive a rebellious streak in the Gemini child to create conflict in an attempt to win the battle of freedom. Cancerian mothers also tend to have a very nurturing approach, which will create conflict with the Gemini who is looking for a fun, child-like interaction.
Leo
Strengths
Leo mums naturally allow the free spirit to roam, children to make a mess and this is beneficial to the whirlwind Gemini. Leo mums will generally laugh off the spillage their destructive Geminis will leave them, creating a special bond between the two and an acknowledgement of the importance of self-learning.
Challenges
Both Leo mums and Gemini babies have natural stubborn streaks. A small conversation can become a large battle of wills between the two. Leo mums like to express their affection often, which can be rejected if the Gemini is distracted or just seeking fun from their mother, which can lead to the Leo mother questioning her stance with the child.
Virgo
Strength
Both Virgo mums and Gemini babies share an analytical mindset and high energy, allowing them to commonly see eye-to- eye. Virgo mums tend to have a more gentle approach to parenting, which allows the Gemini child to grow on their own terms and at their own pace.
Challenges
Nervous tension and worry can particularly be problematic between a Virgo mum and her Gemini child. Gemini children are naturally going to “try it now and deal with the consequences later”, which can create conflict if the Virgo mum feels anxious or worried about the Geminis risks. A challenge for mum will be having to decide which mistakes they can make and which mistakes she will not let them make.
Libra
Strength
Libran mothers tend to showcase cooperation and trust, something of which a Gemini child needs when attempting to find their way through their own self-learning. Libran mothers tend to make great conversationalists with their children, which the chatty Gemini will adore as they struggle not to talk in the first place!
Challenges
Libran mothers commonly make master manipulators, however they can underestimate the analytical processing behind a Gemini child, who will then act out in rebellion as they become aware that free thinking and doing is being craftily taken away from them. It can definitely be a battle of wills and intelligence between this combination!
Scorpio
Strengths
Scorpio mothers often enjoy participating in their children’s activities. A Gemini child will get comfort in sharing with their parents their own activities and hobbies. Scorpio mothers tend to be highly intuitive, which means they have an added layer of protection against the Gemini child’s quick decisions.
Challenges
Scorpios generally have a very protective streak and can come across as strict or stubborn. The Gemini child will often lash out and be quite sarcastic and rude about the rules set in the household, as they battle for more freedom to make their own decisions and learn through their own mistakes.
Sagittarius
Strengths
The Sagittarius mother commonly pursue intellect and wit from their children, which is something that the Gemini child delivers naturally. As a Sagittarius, it’s not uncommon as a mother to be all about fun jokes and quick thinking, which will create a lot of laughs between mother and child over the years as they share a lot in common.
Challenges
On the negative, both the Gemini child and Sagittarius parent are often caught in the punishment of their own quick judgements. Feistiness and impatience can be commonly found shared between the two and a lack of understanding towards each other’s wellbeing in that given time.
Capricorn
Strengths
Capricorn mums are often found providing common sense solutions to their children’s problems. Although at times frustrating to a Gemini child, the Capricorns down to earth view to problems can help reduce the chaos associated with an Geminis over-emotional almost frantic state of being.
Challenges
The challenge of a Capricorn parent with a Gemini child is understanding and forgiving their child’s mistakes. Capricorn mothers tend to have a more cautious, calculated approach that completely contrasts the Gemini child’s “do now, learn later” approach. Sometimes mistakes must be made and lessons learnt the hard way!
Aquarius
Strengths
Like minds call for like understanding and an Aquarius mother and Gemini will be able to compliment each other’s intellectual capacity and quick wit. Aquarius mothers commonly endorse modern educational theories that expand beyond the standard old education system, which provides an opportunity for the Gemini child to excel with their own self-learning capabilities.
Challenges
Just as their similarities provide strength, it also provides challenges between an Aquarius mother and Gemini child. Both have stubborn streaks which means that a compromise is not reached easily. They can often be found flicking back and forth between each other with negative remarks and debating to reach to a conclusion, which is just as frustrating for the both of them because they can each respond at such speed.
Pisces
Strengths
Piscean mothers have a natural empathy and understanding towards their children’s personalities and requirements that allow their children to feel nurtured and supported, even when differences are profound. The naturally high energy Gemini child will benefit largely from the Piscean mothers understanding and empathy, which allows them to focus on growing not only their strengths, but their weaknesses (emotional maturity) from a young age.
Challenges
A challenge for the Piscean mother is to not take blame for her Gemini child’s quick-decisions in a moment of panic. Gemini children fight for freedom and the Pisces mother is more prone to becoming responsive to their child, rather than directive towards them in fear of sparking further rebellion.
