Fun Family Activities in Singapore

2 min read
Fun Family Activities in Singapore

One of my family favourite activity will be Kiteflying. Not only do we get to bond together as a family, it also helps to build up my son patience as it takes time and effort for the kite to be able to fly in the sky.

Although kiteflying looks simple and easy, the reality is that alot goes behind the scenes. Such as rolling out the kite and trying to get it to fly. There were a few times we failed and it was lovely when we suceeded in getting our kite to fly!

However, we cannot be complacent because if we are, the kite will fall to the ground so we will need to find a right balance for kite flying.

On top of that,do you know that kiteflying requires stamina and teamwork too? Whereby one of us need to hold on to the kite and throw it up when we felt a gush of wind and the other person to control the kite and sometimes we have to run to catch the momentum of the wind to make the kite fly!

I like that whenever we head out for kiteflying,I would prepare sandwiches and I will let my child assist me with the easy ones such as spreading jam on the bread. This creates opportunity for us to bond together as well!

Kite flying is a relaxing yet a fun and engaging activity for my family and it is low in cost too! Besides Marina Barrage, there are lots of other places that allows you to do kiteflying! Come and try it out if you have not!

Tip, always remember to check the weather forecast before you head out for your kiteflying experience! There were once when we were all set up and unfortunately it rain and we waited for an hour or two before we would fly our kite!
