To express appreciation towards its baristas for their contribution and dedication in getting the coffee chain to one million cups, Flash Coffee will be rewarding all full-time and part-time baristas with a special bonus.
It will be prorated based on how long they have been with the company, and the longest-serving baristas may receive a significant payment of almost up to two months of their salary.

“We would like to celebrate this significant milestone in our journey with everyone, especially our baristas and team members who have been instrumental to Flash Coffee’s success. Empowering and supporting our employees is at the heart of our brand values, so it is important for us to build a company where everyone wins together. We are glad to be able to offer our baristas a token of appreciation for their hard work on the frontlines with this special bonus. After reaching our first million cups, our next target is to reach one million drinks sold per month, a goal that is in line with our growth trajectory,” shared David Brunier, CEO of Flash Coffee.

Flash Coffee is known for its striking yellow and pink colors and award-winning menu of high-quality drinks at affordable prices.
David Brunier, CEO, and Sebastian Hannecker, COO & CFO, founded the company with the vision of democratising high-quality coffee and making it accessible to Asia’s rising middle class, as large coffee chains have traditionally been retailing it at high prices.
Despite being one of the hardest-hit sectors during COVID-19, the coffee chain has grown from strength to strength, starting with a presence in Indonesia in January 2020, expanding to Singapore and Thailand within the same year, and Taiwan in August 2021. The brand will reach 100 stores by the end of August.
A digital-age business concept that empowers baristas and engages customers

The coffee chain’s grab-and-go business model sets them aside from others, with a focus on digitizing the offline-dominated industry.
To empower baristas to perform their core role better, Flash Coffee developed a proprietary barista application – the multi-role app looks at improving operating efficiency by automating manual processes, and also integrates a reward system that incentivizes work performance.
Recognising that customers today prefer a convenient and fuss-free retail experience, Flash Coffee launched a mobile app to provide an optimal customer experience. Using the application, customers can benefit from a streamlined pick-up feature that allows them to order ahead of time and skip the queue at the store.
Other features include a loyalty program, personalized promotions, and interactive challenges to keep customers highly engaged.
With the cost efficiencies gained from the digitized concept, Flash Coffee is able to provide consumers with incredible value for their money. The brand has won many people over with its best-in-class customer experience and high-quality products at affordable prices.

Increasing touch points locally and across the region
Flash Coffee plans to open 10 more new stores by the end of the year, adding on to its strong roster of 15 outlets in the CBD and beyond. Earlier this month, the brand grew its footprint in the heartland neighbourhoods of Jurong West (Jurong Point) and Toa Payoh (ERA APAC Centre), as well as in the heart of the CBD at Capital Tower.
It is set to launch in Hong Kong by this quarter, continuing with its momentum of opening five new outlets each week across the region.
