The Science Centre, previously known as Singapore Science Centre is a scientific institution in Jurong East, Singapore, specialising in the promotion of scientific and technological education for the general public. With over 850 exhibits spread over eight exhibition galleries, it sees over a million visitors a year today, and over 17 million visitors up to the year 2003 when it celebrated its silver jubilee.
Interesting facts:
Reputed to be one of the top ten science centres in the world, it has 8 exhibition halls with more than 850 interesting and engaging science exhibits.
Interactive exhibits – many with noises and flashing lights (especially in the Main Atrium near the entrance) – to explain scientific principles.

Aviation: The development of flight.
Discovery Zone: Hands-on exhibition for 4 to 12 year-olds.
Biotechnology: How we use plant and animal cells and microbes to produce substances useful to us.
The Mind’s Eye: Optical illusions.
Energy: Imaginative exhibits highlighting the importance of energy.
Web of Life: The biodiversity of life, and the interactions and adaptations found in nature for survival.
Hall of Information Technology: IT in learning, at home, on the move and at play.

The Human Body
Kinetic Garden: The first of its kind in Asia, a unique outdoor science-based garden that blends the sciences and the arts with a mix of interactive sculptures, displays and exhibits that are continuously in motion. Powered by various forms of energy such as light, wind and water, they demonstrate the relationship between different forms of energy.
