Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there.

If you or someone else you know have had to deal with similar examples of harassment cases in public, there are things you can do to protect yourself:
- Stay calm. It is easier said than done, but it would be in your best interest to respond in a safe way. Let them know firmly that their actions are unwelcome and are making you uncomfortable.
- Take note of everything during the incident. It would help you further to report the incident if you remember where it happened, what time, what exactly they did as well as what your harasser was wearing.
- Report to the authorities. Contact the police and tell them everything that happened. This could help in finding the person and prevent them from causing any harm to others.
- Help someone in need. If you find someone else being harassed or is caught in an unpleasant situation, approach them just as calmly and let their harasser know their actions are unacceptable.
Let us work towards creating a safer world for everybody and prevent any harassment from taking place.
