From a Rare High-Altitude Treasure to Science-Led Cultivation
Naturally occurring Cordyceps sinensis is found in the high-altitude ecosystems of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. Its complex biological lifecycle, limited habitat and growing demand have made it exceptionally rare and historically dependent on wild harvesting.
HEC (东阳光) has spent close to two decades studying how Cordyceps sinensis forms and recreating the necessary high-altitude conditions through controlled ecological cultivation. Its system manages factors including soil composition, humidity, atmospheric pressure, ultraviolet radiation and the forage provided to insect larvae.

The partnership will be officially unveiled at Eu Yan Sang’s 147th Anniversary LiveWISE Festival, held from 14 to 20 October 2026 at Tampines Mall Atrium.
