If you follow her on Instagram, then you probably already know how Taiwanese singer Ella Chen has a very close relationship with her son. So close, in fact, that she sees no problem in talking about the human anatomy with the 4-year-old.
During a parenting event earlier this week, the celebrity mum shared how her son Daniel once walked in on her changing her sanitary pad and what she did to handle the situation.

The 40-year-old Ella Chen revealed that she actually has a habit of being “very naked at home.” So much so that she sees no problem in being nude around her son and would often change clothes in front of him.
She then continued to share that Daniel has even caught her changing her sanitary pad. While shocking to others, Ella instead saw this as an opportunity to explain the human body to her son.
The celeb mum didn’t try to hide what she was doing as she took this chance to get Daniel “started on his health education”.
According to 8days, Ella Chen says, “I explained to him directly about anatomy and the human body, and I told him very naturally what I had learned before.”
She also adds that she thinks it’s good to expose Daniel to sex education early on at his age.

S.H.E. member Ella Chen has always been known to be outspoken, even about her parenting methods. Her current 1.4 million Instagram followers are often treated to sweet posts of the mum-and-son duo bonding together.
It is always good to have such a close relationship with your little ones but recently, netizens have started to question Ella’s parenting style. Specifically, after she spoke up about teaching her son about sex education at a young age.
Some netizens felt that her actions were “unacceptable” and “inappropriate.” They argued that Daniel is just four-years-old and might get affected by what he was told.
Although, others defended the singer by claiming there was nothing wrong with her talking about such topics with the boy. After all, Daniel is her son.
One of her fans even said, “This is not a bad thing. He will respect women when he is older.”
Even with this raging debate amongst her fans, Ella continues to cherish the time she spends with her son and says that she will always make time to chat with him before bed.
“This is why I always say that I am not afraid that my child will not allow me to hug him when he is more than three years old, because Jin Bao is now four and is still very clingy to me,” Ella Chen signs off.
