Electric Dreams: Confessions Of A Techie Mum Of Two!

Electric Dreams: Confessions Of A Techie Mum Of Two!

I humbly confess, I have a weakness for all things sleek and shiny. The infinite justification being that these new gizmos come in handy to spice up life as a stay-at-home mum of two. They bring respite to otherwise mind-numbing play dates, those in-between moments and a welcome companion for our families long road trip to KL ever so often. Nothing comes in between my gadgets and me.

Applie iPhone

1) Apple’s iPhone

The Apple iPhone is not just a phone – it is a phone, music player, video player, web device, and camera, all in one. Like its Apple iPod Nano and iPod video cousins, the iPhone is slim and sleek at just 11.6mm thick, 2.4-inches wide, and 4.5-inches tall.

In addition to that, the iPhone features an amazing 3.5-inch widescreen display and has one of the most revolutionary user interfaces since the mouse. The interface is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced on a phone, with a large multi-touch display and it innovates new software that allows you to control everything with the touch of a finger.

The only set back? The fact that you can’t pop the cover out to change the battery by yourself.

2) Pioneer PDP-5070HD PureVision 50″ Plasma HDTV

The Pioneer PDP-507CMX is a high resolution, 50″ HDTV wide screen plasma monitor for professional and commercial applications. The unit is very easy to use and delivers the highest levels of color, contrast and brightness.

Equipped with a wide range of features, the monitor translates into a no-compromise, industrial video display ready to take on the most demanding sign age presentations. Utilising PureDrive circuitry, the plasma is capable of unparalleled image reproduction. The plasma elements are bonded directly to the TVs protective coating, virtually eliminating glare.

Additional features include a 12-bit imaging chip, dual screen mode and expansion module compatibility, making the PDP-507CMX an ultimate industrial plasma solution.

3) Kodak Easy Share Digital Photoframe

Why just frame one picture when you can relive all your memories? Kodak EasyShare SV811 Digital Picture Frame is perfect for on-the-spot viewing of digital pictures and videos from any digital camera, home PC via USB and all memory cards. The frame has a bright, relatively sharp 8-inch diagonal display, 128MB of built-in memory, plus slots for virtually all memory card types, as well as USB connectivity for computers and thumbdrives. Lastly, it’s easy to set up and has a well-designed interface.
