Breastfeeding Mum Squirts Milk On Woman Who Got Offended

Breastfeeding Mum Squirts Milk On Woman Who Got Offended

Mothers who nurse in public are no stranger to criticisms and dirty glances from other people. They get used to it early on.

Mothers who nurse in public are no stranger to criticisms and dirty glances. They learn to get used to it early on.

When they are confronted, they either shrug it off and succumb to their oppressor’s demands or they stand their ground and defend their rights.

For one mother, however, she did what no ordinary mother would think to do: spray their critic with breastmilk.

According to a Mail Online story, a breastfeeding mother allegedly “squirted her boob” at a woman who told her to do her business somewhere private.

The incident which reportedly happened in a park in Dartford, Kent, was reported on a local Facebook forum.

“To the lady in Dartford park who thought it was appropriate to breastfeed her baby whist my child and very easily distracted husband sat nearby,” the post begins.

“I don’t think it was necessary for you to react the way you did just because I asked you to go somewhere private, telling me to f*** off and squirting me with your boobs was incredibly uncalled for. I hope you are ashamed of yourself!”

Since the post appeared online, it has gathered widespread attention locally, with many of the commenters defending the mother’s right to breastfeed in public.

One of them, a woman named Janice Holmes, said: “I hope you’re ashamed of yourself, her reaction may not have been the right way to deal with your ignorance, but she has every right to feed her child there, if it offended you that much why didn’t you move?”

“If this lady told me to stop breastfeeding my daughter and to go somewhere else I would tell her to do one!” said Ciara Bennett, another concerned woman. “How sad is it that breastfeeding is seen as a bad thing now and formula feeding is the norm. Good luck to the breastfeeding mum who told this lady where to go.”

In Britain, a recently passed law protects women’s right to breastfeed in public. The law also prohibits nursing mothers to be kicked out of cafes, shops or public transport.

Meanwhile, according to NHS England website’s message to mothers:

“You shouldn’t ever be made to feel uncomfortable about breastfeeding in public.

“In fact, the Equality Act 2010 has made it illegal for anyone to ask a breastfeeding woman to leave a public place, such as a cafe, shop or public transport.”
