These celebrity moms and dads are beloved in Bollywood for their memorable films and TV shows.

But they brought pride to their country even more when they broke into Hollywood and found success, paving the way for other actors to keep striving to break barriers with their exceptional talent and determination!

He made his Hollywood debut in the Oscar-winning film, 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

The multi-awarded film catapulted Anil into being one of the in-demand Indian actors in tinseltown.

He went on to appear in the hit TV series '24' where he portrayed the role of Omar Hassan, (President of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan).

He also starred alongside Tom Cruise in the blockbuster action flick, 'Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol'. And he will also appear in the thriller, 'Cities', with Clive Owen and Orlando Bloom.

The Kapoor family have been a prominent name in the world of Hindi cinema.

Anil has three lovely children, namely: Sonam (30), Rhea (29), and Harshvardhan (25).

Both his daughters have made names for themselves in the acting industry.

And his son recently made his Bollywood debut.

This veteran actor has a massive body of work filled with remarkable performances that has cemented his place as one of Bollywood's finest actors.

He was one of the first in Bollywood to transition into the international scene when he appeared as Samad Miah Iqbal in 'White Teeth', a British television drama series.

He also starred in films such as 'The Parole Officer', 'The Mystic Masseur', and other Hollywood projects: 'East Is East', 'The Ghost and the Darkness', 'City of Joy', and 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'.

He has paved the way for many younger Bollywood actors hoping to break into the international movie scene.

He has an 18-year-old son named Ishaan.

He made his Hollywood debut when he played Captain Nemo in 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', where he starred alongside Sean Connery.

He has three lovely kids: Vivaan, Heeba, and Imaad who have also found success in the Bollywood acting and music industry.

She starred opposite Steve Martin in 'The Pink Panther 2' and also appeared in ‘Bride and Prejudice’, ‘Mistress of Spices’, and ‘Provoked: A True Story’.

She also signed on to become the brand ambassador for L'OREAL.

Hailed as one of the most beautiful women in the world, She is the first Indian celebrity to be assigned as a jury member at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.

She has an adorable 4-year-old daughter named Aaradhya.

Being one of the veteran actors of Bollywood, he has been lauded for his performances in films such as 'Tridev', 'Chandni', 1942: A Love Story, Lamhe and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

He made his way into Hollywood with his role in 'The Mistress of Spices'.

He was also seen in Gurinder Chadha's 'Bend it Like Beckham' which also starred Parminder Nagra, and Keira Knightley.

He also worked with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in the Oscar-nominated film 'Silver Linings Playbook', where he portrayed Dr. Cliff Patel.

His step-son Sikandar Kehr is following in his footsteps as one of Bollywood's most popular actors.

Irrfan Khan

Described by many as a versatile yet humble actor, Irrfan's journey to success wasn't always smooth sailing.

He first appeared in TV and theatre but these didn't really catapult him to success just yet.

Things started to look up when he starred in Vishal Bhardwaj's Maqbool which led him to the project 'The Namesake', an American film.

But it was Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' that changed everything. They won an Oscar for Best Ensemble cast, which opened a lot of doors for him.

Soon, he appeared in 'A Mighty Heart' alongside Angelina Jolie. Critics then praised his performance in the HBO series, 'In Treatment'.

He delivered a phenomenal performance in the critically acclaimed blockbuster, 'The Life of Pi' (where his son Ayaan appears in a brief role). He also has another young son named Babil.

The dad of two also starred in top grossing flicks such as 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and 'Jurassic World'.
