An Awesome Family Staycation Awaits You At Park Regis Singapore!

An Awesome Family Staycation Awaits You At Park Regis Singapore!

Best family staycation in Singapore: We had a super relaxing, fun staycation at Park Regis Singapore. Read on for our review!

Imagine a glorious staycation right in the heart of the city, and just a stone’s throw away from Singapore’s most happening night spots?

Well, our dreams turned into reality, when we got a chance to stay at Hotel Park Regis Singapore – winner of TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice 2018.

Needless to say, we weren’t left disappointed.

Park Regis Singapore: Location

For starters, the Park Regis Singapore is located right next to Clarke Quay MRT station. So you’ll have absolutely no trouble in getting there.

Once you reach there, you’ll also realise how close it is to Chinatown, Boat Quay, Robertson Quay and of course, Clarke Quay.

Park Regis Singapore: The Regis Room

Our experience with Park Regis Singapore began on a great note with an absolutely hassle-free check in, after which, staff made sure to escort us to our room. And what a room it was!

Ours was the Regis room on the 2nd floor, which was less of a room and more like an apartment! Regis rooms are located on the 2nd to 7th floor of the hotel, are the largest in size, and a boon for families!

They come with a king size bed (plus an extra bed on request), and an additional dining area.

The kids squealed in delight when they saw that we had direct access to the pool from our room!

And that’s not all, our room had an additional balcony with outdoor seating area, offering a picturesque 180 degree view of Clarke Quay.

Our room also came with a coffee machine! The air conditioning was easy to adjust and control as well. And did we mention that we loved the full length mirror and luxe bedding?

Other in-room luxuries were complimentary Wi-fi, and access to plenty of movie channels, and a Handy phone, which offers free unlimited international calls for up to 11 destinations.

The room has an open concept layout, so expect wash basins (yes, there are 2, so no more fighting over who gets to brush first) in the middle of the room.

Also, the toilet and shower area are in separate cubicles. The doors come with no lock though, so yes, be prepared.

Tip: Let everyone know before you head to the loo.

Park Regis Singapore: Facilities

Swimming pool

The kids absolutely loved their time in the swimming pool, which by the way, comes with a cascading waterfall.

If you would much rather relax by the poolside, there are plenty of spacious sun-beds and shady umbrellas.

Library

And if you just want to chill with a good book by your side, head to the Bondi Book Corner on the 2nd floor, inside the gym. There are plenty of novels and travel books that can be borrowed, free of cost!

E-scooter and bicycle

best family staycation in Singapore

We decided to tour the vibrant Clarke Quay neighbourhood at night time. If you are feeling too lazy to walk, grab an e-scooter from the hotel at just $0.50 for 15 minutes. The hotel recommends that only children above 16 use the e-scooter.

You can also hire a bicycle for $5/hour (child seat available upon request).

After dinner, we came back to our rooms and spent some time chatting in the balcony, watching traffic whiz by. Then, we flopped onto our bed for some movie time, before falling fast asleep.

Breakfast

What’s a staycation without great breakfast? You’ll be happy to know that Park Regis Singapore offers a decent breakfast buffet at Cafe Twenty3, complete with an egg/noodle station and a wide variety of cheese, salad and bread.

So there, with our stomachs (and hearts) full, it was time to say goodbye to a most relaxing staycation. We definitely had a great time at the Park Regis Singapore, we think you would love it too!
