We did the research, and tested a dozen strollers in various criteria — and now we’re ready to tell you the verdict!
A baby stroller is one of the common staples in a “New Baby Checklist." Aside from the crib, a good-quality stroller is considered a solid investment when it comes to baby care.
For some parents, it’s even at the very top of their must-have list.
Because it’s not just mums who want to make sure the stroller is top-notch, the dads too. They are also picking out the best stroller for their new bundle of joy.
Besides, they will be the ones pushing it for the next couple of years (or even longer if you plan to have a big family).
Whether you’re taking your baby for a walk, a doctor’s appointment, or a trip abroad, a stroller will be the best baby gear to rely on.
Regardless of how long it is, it makes any journey more manageable and hassle-free. It also makes the baby much more comfortable when you are out and about.
A fair amount of research carried out beforehand can help you find a single stroller that serves the multiple purposes you are looking for.
But with a market filled with strollers of various shapes, types, and sizes, how will you choose the best one?

Best Baby Stroller in Singapore: Our TAP picks
So what’s the best baby stroller in Singapore that can be recommended for your use? We have picked the top eight (8) baby strollers to suit your lifestyle and requirements.
Mimosa TableMate
Great Companion for Foodies
First on the list of the Best Strollers in Singapore for 2024 is the Mimosa TableMate. This baby stroller in Singapore matches well with different floors and walkways that you wish to travel with your baby.
This branded stroller is quite a looker with its black and rose gold interior. It’s also considered one of the best stroller brands because of this stylish feature.
This compact full-size stroller also has a spacious seat unit with a mesh padded backrest, a one-step, self-standing folding mechanism, an easy-access storage basket, and a removable and washable sun canopy with a parent viewing window.
But aside from its look, weight, and functionality, what really got us raving about this pram is that it is designed especially for parents who love dining and travelling as it features a unique ultra-high seat that seats your child at dining height.
It saves you from having to transfer your toddler to a high chair when you’re eating out. Now your baby can have her “seat at the table" with the rest of the family.
Did we mention it retails at a very affordable price? Just slightly higher than its sister, the Mimosa Cabin City+. But with its sleek design and durability, this stroller does not look cheap at all.
However, some things to note: the Mimosa TableMate is more geared toward city living as its performance on rougher terrains (grass, cobblestone) feels compromised, and the unfolding process is slightly more complicated.
Features we love:
- Spacious and ultra-high seat feature
- Mesh padded backrest
- Sling for easy carrying
- Easy-access storage
- Removable front bumper
- 3 recline positions – 100°,135° and 170°
- Adjustable footrest
- Canopy with parent-viewing window
Recommended age & weight: suitable from birth up to 15 kg (approximately 3 years old)
GB QBit+ All City
Best in Folding and Unfolding
In the category of ease and speed of folding and unfolding, the GB Qbit+ All-City was the runaway winner. It beat all of its competition with an average of 2.9 seconds in folding and unfolding.
It may help that the stroller automatically folds and unfolds itself with one click of a button. The smooth folding and unfolding mechanism makes it one of our favourites for this year.
Features we love:
- Very compact.
- 3 in 1 travel system.
- Super easy to fold and unfold.
Recommended age & weight: This stroller is suitable from birth up to 22 kg (approximately 4 years old).
Hamilton
Most Compact Stroller
The best thing about this compact stroller is its patented automatic Magicfold™ system that lets the stroller fold itself with one push of a button.
No need for batteries, chargers, or electricity. The only downside here is that the locking mechanism requires 2 hands which can be a hassle if you are out and about on your own.
The Hamilton branded stroller also scored high in the area of pushing experience. It was very easy to push and sturdy while standing, even though it is considered a lightweight compact stroller.
Moreover, it is one of the strollers with the widest seat width (38cm, the other one is Mimosa TableMate), making it super spacious and comfortable for the baby too.
Features we love:
- Easy to collapse with its Magicfold™ system.
- Easy to open the magnetic buckle, yet also childproof.
- Stylish black and white tires.
- Wide seat width.
Recommended age & weight: This stroller is suitable from birth up to 25 kg (approximately 4 years old).
Cybex Gazelle
Perfect for a Growing Family
The Cybex Gazelle S is very versatile and offers many features that will definitely suit your baby’s needs.
You’ll love its massive storage space and detachable shopping basket if you are a big-city shopper. The bigger the storage capacity, the more you’ll enjoy your shopping bonding with your little one.
Secondly, if you have a growing family, you’ll appreciate this baby stroller even more. We love that this travel system can be converted into a double stroller without additional adapters.
Also, this baby stroller is super sturdy and delivers excellent performance consistently across all terrains. It has an adjustable handlebar and smooth brake mechanism for easier pushing and control.
However, some cons are that the stroller requires bigger storage space, the price point is slightly higher, and manoeuvring in U-turn and S-turn motions is somewhat compromised due to its bulkier size and wheels.
Features we love:
- Two shopping baskets (combined capacity of 23 kg)
- Convertible to double mode
- XXL UPF50+ sun canopy
- Ergonomic lie-flat position
- Compact fold
- Adjustable foam handlebar
Recommended age & weight: This is the best baby stroller that is suitable from birth up to 22 kg (approximately 4 years old).
Bugaboo Fox 3
Smooth and Stylish Across All Terrains
The term “urban jungle" fits Singapore to a T. It is a city within a forest, so you never know what kind of path you will be walking on.
The good thing about the stroller Bugaboo Fox 3 is that you can take it wherever you go and you can be assured of your baby’s smooth ride. This stroller Bugaboo also helps you manoeuvre varying terrains of parks.
The stroller lived up to its “ultimate all-terrain stroller" name, scoring high marks in the area of pushing experience.
Its advanced 4-wheel suspension paired with large puncture-proof wheels make for a cushier ride than its competition. It also has an adjustable handlebar for added comfort while pushing.
If you’re the type of parent who’s always on the go and needs to keep your hands free to take care of your bub, you’ll be pleased to know that Fox 3’s under-seat basket can store up to 10 kgs. That’s about 9.5 gallons!
Moreover, we’re giving this stroller extra points for being so stylish. It comes in a different range of colours that suit any urban parent’s style. It is a bit on the pricey side but you will surely get value for money.
Features we love:
- Their bassinet boasts of a new ventilation system that helps regulate your baby’s body temperature
- Quick-click harness that ensures your child’s safety and comfort while strapped in, and easy to unbuckle with just a firm push of a button.
- Aerated ergonomic mattress
- Newborn-friendly
- Stylish look and colours
- Easy to navigate and manoeuvre across all terrains
Recommended age & weight: suitable for newborns up to 22 kg (approximately 4 years old)
Cybex Melio
Best Travel System Stroller
The tandem of the Cybex Melio and the Cloud Z is great for parents who want the whole package. This powerful tandem finishes close to second place on our test.
As a parent, comfort will always be on top of your criteria when choosing baby stuff. So if you are looking for the most comfortable, and best newborn stroller, Cybex Melio is the one to choose.
It features a removable comfort inlay and a breathable mesh for healthy air circulation in the backrest. This is the perfect stroller to use, especially during humid weather.
The pushing experience for this travel system was exceptional across all terrains. Compared to other urban strollers, it has a larger storage space. Its handlebar is adjustable, and the storage basket can carry up to 13 kg.
Features we love:
- Luxury comfort
- Lightweight
- Can be used as a newborn stroller
- Compact fold
- Large storage space
- This model comes in 4 stylish designs
Recommended age & weight: The car seat can be used from birth up to 13 kg (approximately 24 months), while the stroller is suitable to use from birth up to 15 kg (approximately 3 years old).
Mimosa Cabin City+
Best Full-size Stroller for 2024
This stroller tops our list of best strollers in Singapore for 2024. It bested the other strollers in functionality, ease of folding and unfolding, being travel-friendly and value for money.
The Mimosa Cabin City+ is the most travel-friendly stroller as it can be easily folded to a compact size that fits into car bumpers and most airline compartments. It is very lightweight and easy to carry around (can be slung as a sling bag also).
One of the top concerns among parents is how easy it is to fold and open a stroller.
This is because parents always have their hands full, and having a stroller which can be opened and closed with ease is the number 1 requirement for any stroller.
With just one click, the Mimosa Cabin City+ was very easy to collapse, and folding the stroller took less than 6 seconds! It is only half as fast as QBit City, but it is more lightweight and affordable.
Manoeuvring the Cabin City+ was also reasonably easy. It comes with high-quality rubber wheels, and the front swivel wheels are lockable. The features are at par with much more expensive models, and it even comes with a free carry bag and mosquito net.
Features we love:
- Single-hand folding
- Multi-position seat recline
- Compact cabin size
- Easy to manoeuvre
- Easy to access storage basket (can store up to 5 kg)
- Free accessories (mosquito mesh and carry bag)
Recommended age & weight: up to 23kg (from birth to approx. 3 years old)
Bugaboo Donkey 5
Perfect for Growing Families
If you are looking for a stroller that can be converted into a double and have extra money to spare, you cannot go wrong with the Bugaboo Donkey 5.
This stroller Bugaboo comes in three configurations designed for your family’s specific needs, the most basic one being Mono, which we are reviewing in this article.
The Donkey 5 Mono is configured for 1 seat and side luggage basket or 1 bassinet and side luggage basket.
However, they call it a “future-proof" stroller because you can easily convert it into a side-by-side double stroller to make the transition easier for parents of multiple kids.
Take one look at the Donkey 5 Mono, and you’ll instantly know that it’s made with top-notch quality. Its elevated seat and bassinet mean that your child is never out of reach and has an adjustable handlebar for your convenience.
We love that it has ample storage space, perfect when you want to go shopping with your bub.
If you love bringing your child to the park or the mall, this stroller is for you with its large, puncture-proof, uniquely-suspended wheels that deliver a smooth ride across all terrains.
Your bub will definitely enjoy his power nap whether you’re on a cobblestone path in part or at the beach.
But if you’re the backpacking type of family, we recommend going with a more compact stroller because the Bugaboo Donkey 5 does not fold and collapse. However, despite being very sturdy, it’s still lightweight at 12.2 kg.
Features we love:
- Breezy bassinet with soft mesh panels for smoother airflows
- Adjustable handlebar
- Comes in a wide range of colours and accessories
- Large puncture-proof wheels for a smooth ride
- Large storage capacity with a free shopping bag
Recommended age & weight: This stroller is suitable from birth up to 22 kg (approximately 4 years old)
One thing to note for larger strollers like the Cybex Gazelle and the Bugaboo Donkey 5 is the manoeuvrability.
We found that due to their larger size, these strollers were more cumbersome when it came to making tight turns due to their size, and parents might face some issues on crowded or narrow footpaths. However, the pushing experience in these strollers was still really smooth.
Types of Strollers
Let us clue you in on the different types of strollers in the market. Knowing about each type of stroller can help you narrow down your list until you find the best one suitable for your family’s needs and lifestyle.
Full-size Stroller
This is an excellent option for expanding families and families with multiple children.
Extra benches for seating, glider boards, and car seat adapters to allow your stroller to accommodate an infant car seat as your family grows are only a few of the many extra options a full-size stroller can offer.
The full-size stroller can be used from the moment your child is born until he or she is a toddler.
Jogging Stroller
Next is the type of stroller that has three wheels for added suspension and manoeuvrability. It also has air-filled tires that provide a comfortable ride for your kids. This feature also makes it a great stroller for toddlers.
A jogging stroller can go off-road like no other. It is ideal for runners looking for something to keep up with.
Double Stroller
A two-seater type of stroller that suits your growing family. There are a variety of options for any budget.
Some are in-line, which means that seats are arranged one behind the other.
Meanwhile, others are twin strollers with seats next to each other. And some can also convert from a single to a double or more!
Car Seat Carrier
An infant carrier is like a stroller for newborns. It can be used until they are 12 months old or older, depending on their shoulder height and weight. It is often mounted in a backwards-facing position.
Some infant carriers can be clipped onto a recommended stroller frame and used as a pram with the use of adapters.
Many parents would tell you how useful infant carriers are because they allow you to move your children in and out of the car without disturbing their naps.
Travel System Stroller
A travel system stroller makes leaving the house with your baby much easier and more convenient.
Many travel strollers fold down easily and can be carried over your shoulder or fit in the overhead bin of a plane.
Now that you have an understanding of the various types of strollers available, let us take a look at how you may pick the best stroller that fits your family’s and baby’s needs.
How to select baby strollers based on the type of mum you are
When picking the right stroller, you must take into account how its functionalities will benefit you and the lifestyle you lead.
Since there is a wide range of stroller types to pick from, which type of mum do you think you fall into?
Hands-free Mum
Looking for more space to carry all baby gear and more? Are you the kind of mum who needs extra space to hold the baby gear and a few extra items to keep your hands free?
Then the full-sized stroller is the best bet for you. It will give you the space and capacity you need to store your baby gear as you stroll.
Frequent Traveller Mum
Be it travelling countries, and cities, or frequenting grocery stores, if you are a mum who travels often, it is best that you pick a stroller that supports travel.
A key feature you would look for as a frequent traveller mum is the car seat. While the best strollers are convenient, your new baby will be safe in the car if you use a car seat.
The travel stroller you choose should therefore ideally come with car seats that fit snugly in your vehicle and are simple to install and operate.
These travel stroller functionalities will certainly make your travelling stress-free and comfortable.
Mum of Many Kids
If you are a mother with multiple kids, or you are expecting your second or third child, a double stroller is a must for you.
Depending on the children’s ages, there are a variety of double stroller types you can choose from.
Sporty Mum
As a sporty mother, you would benefit from a stroller that will facilitate your fitness routines, including jogging.
One key aspect you would look for is the safety and comfort of the baby during your runs.
A jogging stroller with shock-absorbing suspension, an adjustable handlebar, a hand brake, and big, air-filled tires will help you make your baby stay comfortable and safe during your fitness routine.
When running, a swivelling front wheel will lock for added stability.
Mum with Newborn
We read about the variety of strollers that come in different types and functionalities. Not all of these strollers suit newborn babies and infants.
Therefore, it is important to ensure that a Mum with a newborn chooses a stroller that is safe for infants in particular.
Typically, a baby carrier is most recommended for a newborn. It is quite useful because it’s simple to remove from the vehicle to be used as a carrier.
Things to consider before buying a baby stroller
In choosing the right stroller for your baby, you need to take into account how it will benefit you and the lifestyle you lead. Here are some of the things you need to consider and the suitable stroller type for each.
- Do you always need to have your hands free? If you’re the kind of parent who needs extra space to put your baby bag and other items, then a full-sized stroller with spacious storage space will be good for you.
- Do you travel often? Are you fond of taking road trips with the family? Then choose a stroller that has a car seat adapter. Meanwhile, a lightweight travel stroller would be the best fit if you love backpacking across cities.
- Growing family. You may be shopping for one baby now, but if you’re looking to expand your family in the near future, a double stroller would be beneficial. You can use the extra seat for your things. Moreover, you need to make sure that the stroller you will be getting will be of great quality to stand the wear and tear of carrying multiple babies.
- Is jogging a part of your daily routine? A jogging stroller with shock-absorbing suspension, an adjustable handlebar, a hand brake, and big, air-filled tires that will help you make your baby stay comfortable and safe during your fitness routine. When running, a swivelling front wheel will lock for added stability.
- Your environment. Because of the usual hot weather in Singapore, you need a durable stroller made of breathable material, particularly with a canopy that will help protect your baby under the sun. If you’re living in a small flat, the size of your stroller should also matter, so pick one that is easy to collapse and store when not in use.
- Value for money. Having a baby entails many costs, so it’s still ideal to buy a stroller that won’t put a dent in your bank account but still has high quality that you can use for the next baby, proving to be more economical in the long run.
Best Baby Stroller in Singapore: Our Selection Process
We spoke with parents in theAsianparent community to find out their concerns when looking for a Singapore stroller.
We also got insights from experts who develop strollers to find out what to consider when a parent shops for a stroller.
We took 12 Singapore strollers from brands our readers trust to find the best strollers in Singapore with your needs and preferences in mind.
For over 60 hours, our team checked each one according to their specifications (for what age and weight capacity), talked to parents for feedback, and put these strollers for a test run (we had fun while doing it, too) and finally evaluated them on their performance.
Here are some of the things we considered in judging them:
Age and Weight
Is the stroller newborn-friendly, meaning can you safely put your newborn in the bassinet without worrying about the risk of SIDS? Or you can also put some of your stuff?
How fast will a child outgrow the stroller? Your baby won’t be a newborn for long. Soon enough, he will be a toddler who is too heavy to be carried all the time.
Can the stroller be of help during this transition? Will this be a good Singapore stroller to use at different parks on the island? Would the seats be secure enough for a newborn? Can it be a good stroller for toddlers that weigh around 20 kg?
Functionality
Does the stroller check all the basic requirements? Does it have a car seat adapter, a 5-point safety harness, puncture-proof tires, a storage basket, etc.?
Is the canopy made of breathable fabric that is also easy to clean (machine-washable attachments)? Is it sturdy enough and are there enough brakes to keep your baby safe?
A stroller may get plus points for its unique features and sleek exterior, but if it does not do what it was made to do, it will not make it on our list.
Ease of Folding, Unfolding, and Storing
Is the stroller easy to fold, unfold and store?
One of the top concerns amongst parents is how easy it is to fold and open a stroller.
This is because parents always have their hands full, and having a stroller which can be opened and closed with ease is at the top of their list.
Storage is also necessary, considering the size of Singapore houses these days!
Parents want strollers that are functional but compact so that they can put them on a backpack or a sling bag and not take up so much room when it’s not being used.
For this reason, we took the average time of folding and unfolding each stroller across three different tries and took account of some observations while we were doing it.
Pushing Experience
How did it feel pushing the stroller around? Was it easy is it to make turns? You also need to consider how parents aim for a comfortable experience when buying the best stroller in Singapore.
However, it is essential for the convenience of the parent who is pushing it and to make sure that your baby will be comfortable during the ride. The best stroller should also keep his nap uninterrupted even if the road gets a little bumpy.
We set up a mini obstacle course to test how the strollers perform when doing U-turns and S-turns while also varying our speed to see if the wheels stay on the ground at all times.
The test also included pushing the baby stroller with a diaper bag in the storage basket with one hand. We tested the strollers on 3 different terrains: urban (shopping mall), grass (park), and cobblestone (car park and park walkways).
As we pushed the stroller around on different terrains carrying varied weights, we noted if the ride was smooth or bumpy and easy to manoeuvre with just one hand.
We checked if the stroller was sturdy enough and if the wheels were on the ground the whole time.
Special Features
Aside from the usual requirements that a stroller should have, some parents require some added features to complement their needs and lifestyle. For this reason, some strollers are designed especially for specific requirements.
For instance, for parents who love to travel abroad, a stroller that folds at the click of a button and fits exactly in an airline cabin compartment would be perfect.
Meanwhile, there’s also a stroller wherein the seat height perfectly matches the height of most tables, making it easier for foodies to feed their children when they’re in a restaurant in the city.
We considered all of these things to find the ultimate list of strollers for parents to choose from based on their family’s needs.
We enjoyed testing them out for you.
The truth is there is really no one “best stroller," there’s only the best stroller for you.
With this information in mind, we hope that you will be more confident in picking the best stroller that suits your needs and lifestyle as a family.
But we still recommend that you go to your trusted baby store, check out the stroller and try testing it before purchasing.
Do check out our app and social media accounts for discounts and prizes. Who knows? You might just get one of these awesome strollers for free!
We hope this article helps you make an informed decision on the best baby stroller in Singapore.
