Ballet Under the Stars 2023: Unforgettable Picnic Ballet Experience in Singapore

Get ready for a mesmerizing journey under the stars! Ballet Under the Stars 2023 by Singapore Ballet Limited brings you captivating performances amidst a picnic setting. Let the elegance of dance and the beauty of the night sky enchant you.

Are you ready to embark on a magical journey that combines the elegance of ballet with the charm of a picnic under the twinkling stars? Look no further than Ballet Under the Stars 2023, presented by Singapore Ballet Limited. From September 1st to September 10th, Fort Canning Green will transform into a haven for dance enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. It’s not just a performance; it’s an experience that promises to captivate your senses.

A Weekend of Captivating Performances

The first weekend of this spectacular event will treat you to a trio of extraordinary ballets. “Momentum,” choreographed by the renowned Choo-San Goh, takes centre stage alongside “Quiver” by Timothy Rushton and the enchanting Act II of “The Nutcracker.”

These performances offer a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, showcasing the versatility of ballet as an art form. As you recline on your picnic blanket, you’ll be swept away by the graceful movements and emotive storytelling.

The magic continues into the second weekend with three iconic works. Natalie Weir’s “4Seasons” will take you on a journey through the seasons, while Nils Christe’s “Purcell Pieces” adds a modern twist to the repertoire.

Finally, the timeless beauty of “Swan Lake Act II” will grace the stage, evoking emotions that have resonated for generations. Each performance promises to transport you to a realm where the boundaries between reality and art blur into one.

Embracing Safety and Enjoyment

As you prepare to revel in the splendour of Ballet Under the Stars 2023, Singapore Ballet Limited has taken measures to ensure your enjoyment and safety. The approximately 2-hour performances, each with two 15-minute intervals, provide the perfect balance for you to relax and absorb the artistry on display. Remember that children aged 4 and above require an entry ticket, and it’s advisable to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to secure your seat.

Amid ongoing health considerations, the event organisers prioritise your well-being. If you’re feeling unwell, they kindly request that you stay home, prioritising the health of yourself and others. While mask-wearing is optional, a sense of collective responsibility is encouraged. As you gather for these awe-inspiring performances, consider wearing masks in crowded areas as a thoughtful gesture toward your fellow attendees.

Where Art and Nature Converge

Ballet Under the Stars 2023 transcends the boundaries of traditional performances, offering a unique blend of art and nature in a setting that’s as enchanting as the ballet itself. From the elegance of balletic movements to the tranquillity of a starlit picnic, this event invites you to immerse yourself in a world of beauty and expression.

So, mark your calendar for a truly unforgettable experience celebrating the harmonious marriage of dance, music, and the great outdoors. Get ready to be moved, inspired, and swept away by the magic of ballet under the stars.
