“My dear Adam. It must have been cold inside the freezer. It is alright, when you are in Heaven, you will get many beautiful things.”
“Remember my advice, take good care of yourself there.”
These achingly sad words were written by Malaysian mum Farrah Madihah Othman, after her little baby, all of five months, was found dead in his babysitter’s fridge, wrapped in a napkin and placed inside a green zipper bag.
His tiny body had been stuffed into the freezer.
Shock and Disbelief After Baby Found Dead in the Fridge
The case has sparked shock and disbelief in the region.
On 3 July 2018, Adam was reported missing from his babysitter’s house. She claimed that the baby had been picked up by a man who she thought was his father.
Distraught dad Mohd Sufi Naeif Mohd Fauzi had then lodged a police report. He also uploaded the little one’s picture on social media in the hope of finding him.
Police suspected foul play and decided to search the babysitter’s home in Taman Nakhoda, Batu Caves. What they found was horrifying beyond words.
A postmortem examination revealed that little Adam had suffered internal bleeding in the brain and a cracked skull. Police have arrested the babysitter and her housemate.
According to the New Straits Times, Adam was placed in the babysitter’s care only a week ago. The family had come to know of her through Facebook and friends.
