8 amazing gastrobars in Singapore

Let’s admit it, some bars have a pretty bad reputation for serving underwhelming grub.
I’m sure there have been times when you would jumpstart your night out by heading to a restaurant — which you know serves good food — for dinner, and then capping it off by going to a pub or a bar to have a drink.
Thankfully though, the bar scene has changed over the years.
The vibrant albeit demanding food culture here in Singapore has given birth to a rise in pubs and bars that also serve amazing food — more commonly known as 'gastrobars'.
That's why we thought of listing some gastrobars that have created buzz not only for the eclectic range of drinks they offer, but also for their food.
So the next time you want to grab a bite and a drink, you can do it all in one place!

The Queen and Mangosteen
The Queen and Mangosteen is a gourmet British pub located at Vivo City Shopping Mall.
The food served here is a modern and creative spin on your favourite British pub grub. However, what will surprise you about their food is an ‘Asian twist’ that you are sure to enjoy.
The drinks menu is pretty comprehensive with an extensive selection of beers, whiskeys and some really delicious cocktails.
The ambience is cosy and relaxing. You can choose to sit either inside or outdoors with scenic waterfront views.
I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times and I’m happy to add that The Queen and Mangosteen is extremely kiddie friendly!
