If you’re planning your day trip to Admiralty Park, you should take note that while lighting hours are from 7pm to 7am, no lights will be lit up in the forested area during the night. For those who plan to stay that long in the area, do be mindful of your little ones and that they don’t stray away in the dark.
Visitors should also be aware that there are no food kiosks or snack stops on-site. Best to bring your own snacks and water bottle for a whole day of undisturbed fun.
This is especially if you’re going to being younger kids who will definitely need all the nourishment and hydrating they can get from playing all day!

- By MRT: When taking the MRT, it’s only a 15-minute walk from the Woodlands MRT station to Admiralty Park.
- By bus: For those travelling by bus, it’s also a short way to Admiralty Park from Woodlands Bus Interchange.
- By private vehicle: If you’re bringing your own car, there are also car parks available around the area.
Admiralty Park In Singapore: Fun Things To Do With The Kids
Admiralty Park provides visitors with the opportunity to have two experiences in one area. To begin, the Admiralty Park Playground takes advantage of the park’s mountainous terrain, transforming it into a fantastic, multi-tiered playland replete with slides, burrows, bridges, and even more slides that children will love. The second feature is a nature area with a mangrove walkway that takes you right down to the action.
We just can’t stop gushing over its awesomeness; check out some of the features:
- It has a whopping 26 slides, including Singapore’s first family slide, on which a family of four can slide down together.
- It even has a 32 m ‘High Adventure Roller Slide’, slide, which is equipped with colourful motion-sensor LED lights at both sides, and will shine brightly from 7pm to 11pm each night.
- This park also boasts of Singapore’s widest outdoor slide!

- There’s also a swing that parents and toddlers can enjoy together.
- The playground is divided into three main areas, namely Junior Play, Adventure Play and the Family Terracing Play, ensuring that it caters to children of all ages.
Zone 1: Junior Play – Fun for Younger Kids at Admiralty Park Playground
Located near the junction of Woodlands Avenue 5 and Riverside Road, Admiralty Park’s Junior Play area is perfect for children aged 2 to 5. Despite being designed for younger kids, it offers plenty of adventure and excitement.
Two hillocks provide thrilling slides, with green tube slides leading from the highest point to an intermediate terrace. From there, metallic open slides continue the journey down to the base. Cargo nets between bright blue tubes offer a fun way for kids to climb back up and repeat the exhilarating experience.
For a different challenge, children can hike up the slopes using footholds and climbing poles embedded in the hills. In between the hillocks, there’s a sand play area on a low mound, featuring tube tunnels and poles resembling mangrove roots.
An exceptional feature of Junior Play is Singapore’s first family slide, wide enough for a family of four to slide down together. Another unique attraction is the Expression Swing, allowing parents and toddlers to swing together and observe each other’s expressions from a bucket seat and a regular seat on the same swing.

Zone 2: Adventure Play – Thrills for All Ages
Admiralty Park Playground’s Adventure Play section offers two sets of roller slides for mixed-age group play. The High Adventure Roller Slide, stretching 32 meters, features mesmerizing LED lights, while the Curved Roller Slide, the longest outdoor slide in a public park, spans 34 meters with gentle curves.

Completing the adventure-themed area are two sets of swings designed with a motif resembling mangrove roots.
Zone 3: Family Terracing Play Area – Excitement for Older Kids
Older children, aged 5 to 12, will be thrilled by the Family Terracing Play area at Admiralty Park Playground.

The main attraction here is a pair of long metallic tube slides starting from the top tier of the terraced slopes. These Double Barrel Slides, measuring approximately 23 meters in length and 9 meters in height, are among the longest and tallest tube slides in a Singaporean public park. Kids can engage in exciting head-to-head races as they slide down side by side.
Orange tubes and cargo nets crisscross the hillside, providing alternative routes instead of stairs between different levels of the terraces. An oval zipline circuit adds to the array of adventurous activities.
For climbing enthusiasts, the Waterfall Climber features red-and-yellow cargo nets stretched across a wavy blue frame attached to the hillside. Children can test their climbing skills as they scale the nets up the hillock.

In a truly heartening move, the park also includes an inclusive playground, with thoughtful facilities like wheelchair swing and inclusive merry-go-round.
To make things more exciting, a 20-ha nature area of Admiralty Park includes a viewing platform and mangrove boardwalk to bring visitors closer to nature.
Other Things To Do in Admiralty Park
Nature Playgarden
Built to take advantage of Admiralty Park’s existing steep topography, the playground here boasts an exciting array of 26 slides and a broad array of other play equipment spread among the Junior Play, Adventure Play, and Family Play zones. The playground also features a distinct mangrove theme, inspired by the mangrove ecology found in Admiralty Park’s natural section. Play aspects are inspired by distinctive features found in mangroves, such as the shape of prop roots and pencil roots that are typically found on mangrove trees.
Exercise
Inside the park, there is also a fitness station where visitors can conduct basic exercises. There is fitness equipment accessible for basic strength training, such as a bench for abdominal workout, a balance beam and callisthenics, and a pull-up for dips. Most guests will continue to workout at the fitness station after a brief jog or jun within the park. This is just adjacent to the park’s southern entrance.
