It was also the month when their world was turned upside down with the chilling diagnosis of blood cancer. A seemingly routine bone marrow test revealed the cruel truth – Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia had invaded their little girl’s body.

With the devastating diagnosis came a ray of hope. The National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore offered a lifeline, providing expert care and a treatment plan for Almahyra. However, this beacon of hope also cast a long shadow of financial burden on the family. The cost of the recommended treatment exceeded $670,000. With heavy hearts, they decided to continue Almahyra’s treatment in Indonesia, where it would be more affordable.
