11-year-old girl becomes millionaire by selling lemonade

2 min read

They say that the entrepreneurial spirit is something that you're born with. That may be true, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be an instant success. Sometimes it takes some trial and error before that entrepreneurial spirit culminates. Other times, you're a millionaire before you're even a teenager!

Such is the case with 11-year-old Mikaila Ulmer, the proud young genius behind BeeSweetLemonade. Mikaila recently made a deal with 55 Whole Food Markets worth approximately $11 million!

Fans of reality TV show "Shark Tank" may recognize Ulmer. In fact, she appeared on the show and won $60,000 for her efforts. Her exposure on the show led her to be considered for a Google campaign known as "Dare to be Digital". During said campaign she had the honor of serving US president, Barack Obama, a glass of her famous lemonade. Needless to say her appearance during the campaign was a wild success. She even won a plethora of awards that celebrated her beverage and entrepreneurship.

Mikaila isn't just a young millionaire, though. She's also a young philanthropist. A large sum of her money and earnings go towards rescuing and researching bees. After all, her unique lemonade recipe is based around honey. So, she felt that she needed to pay it forward.

As of now, Mikaila Ulmer's product (that was inspired by a recipe handed down from her great-grandmother) can be purchased in four states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Though, one can imagine with her rate of success and good fortune, that her product will soon be available in many other locations and retailers.

Mikaila Ulmer is a great representation of how entrepreneurial spirit is something that you're born with. She worked hard and aspired to have her product stand out, and so far she's been a huge success.

It's not hard to see why this inspired young girl is already a millionaire! Truly un-bee-lievable!
