Your must-have Jubilee Weekend fun guide: Day 2

Get in the spirit of SG50! Here’s your Day 2 guide to the Golden Jubilee Weekend.

Head on down to Sentosa and be surprised with facts about the iconic Merlion that you didn’t know about.

With four days of amazing activities and programmes for you and your family to enjoy, here’s the second part to our 4-part SG50 Jubilee Weekend Guide series!

Day 2 of the Jubilee Weekend only means that it’s the eve of National Day! Here’s our list of all the hot and happening events that families can look forward to.

Sentosa Merlion

10am – 8pm (last entry 7:30pm)

Do you think you know more about the legendary and iconic Merlion? If you’re at Sentosa, head to the Merlion and be surprised at the facts and stories behind this Singapore icon.

To celebrate SG50, these Singaporean monuments are made entirely out of Legos.

National Library

The Singapore March (Tour and Talk)
1pm – 3pm

For one day only, get the chance to view Singapore’s first travelling exhibition. The Singapore March features an array or peculiar character stereotypes that defines Singapore.

The Little Red Brick (Tour and Talk)
1pm – 3pm

A special exhibit of LEGO creations to commemorate 50 Singaporean memories made by the local Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOL).

3D Printing Singapura Stories (Tour and Talk)
1pm – 3pm

These 3D-printed installations use miniatures to re-enact some of Singapore’s most inspiring moments from the past 50 years in the perspective of a Singaporean narrative.

Hand Drawn Nation (Documentary Screening)
4pm – 5pm

Hand Drawn Nation is a film which gives viewers a glimpse of pioneering illustrators from the 80s and 90s eras. Watch how these illustrators’ breakout publications, such as Young Generation magazines and Vinny the Vampire, have left a mark in the local illustration scene.
