Families for Life Picnic at Marina Barrage

Specially for families! Both parents and kids can look forward to a fantastic line-up of carnival activities, Black Knights aerial display, performances by the SAF Music & Dance Company, food trucks, and more!
Ministry of Education Heritage Centre
7 – 8 August 2015, 9am – 1pm (last entry to galleries at 12:30pm)
Learn about the evolution of education and more at this showcase where you can be part of Singapore’s Education Story. Take a walk through nostalgia lane with galleries that features photographs, old school tuckshop, wooden desks, videos, and more—some from as early as the 19th century. For more details, click here.
Hari Raya Open House at Malay Heritage Centre

The Singapore March
Featuring the works of budding local illustrators, led by Dan Wong and Izyanti Asa’ari, The Singapore March is the first travelling art exhibition in Singapore. Explore the extreme diverse and complexity of Singapore’s visual identity.
The Little Red Brick
The local Adult Fans of LEGO celebrates SG50 by recreating 50 uniquely Singapore memories with LEGO.
3D Printing Singapura Stories
This exhibition uses miniatures to re-enact Singapore’s most inspiring moments over the past 50 years. See interactive installations by Lee Xiaohui and Freda Chua.
The Way We Were (Product Design)
A project by Tan Zixi and Lua Aiwei, this offers a rare glimpse of Singapore’s forgotten practices. Walk down memory lane and check out kampong scenes, childhood games, and others.
Tracing SG (Product Design)
A showcase featuring 5 iconic local places of gathering in Singapore from over the past 50 years. Featuring local places like Void Deck, Coffee Shop, Play Area, Provision Shop, and Public Transport Space, it’ll evoke a sense of nostalgia for Singaporeans.
