Channel 8 actor Xu Bin just got married to his Chinese girlfriend, Evelyn Wang Yifei. According to Toggle, the wedding ceremony happened at Orchard Hotel today.

Celebrities like Fann Wong and Christopher Lee, Zheng Ge Ping, Kimberly Chia etc were spotted at the wedding.
In a touching speech after the solemnisation ceremony, Xu Bin thanked both families for flying in for the big day.

He also paid a lovey-dovey tribute to his wife, “Finally, I want to thank Yifei. I knew you were the one I wanted to marry from the moment I laid eyes on you. Thank you.”

“It hasn’t been easy for her and it’s not easy being with an artiste. We’ve gone through a lot of hurdles, but she’s always been very understanding and always puts my work above everything else, even herself.”

“I don’t think I’ve done enough for her, so I’m making a promise right now that from this day on, you’ll be the most important person in my life.”

Fann Wong was quoted by Toggle as saying: “Marriage is a very blissful stage. Please enjoy it well!”
Christopher Lee said, “Xu Bin has set a good example for the other young actors by getting married at this age.”

Xu Bin first broke the surprising news on October 9, on Instagram, saying, “I have some great news to share. I am getting married.”
The couple have already done their wedding shoot at Club Med Finolhu, Maldives, and Xu’s artiste management agency NoonTalk Media, has released a picture from it on their Instagram. A short video from that wedding photo shoot has also been shared.

Xu Bin, popular for his Channel 8 TV dramas such as 118 (2014) and You Can Be An Angel 2 (2016), is the first of Mediacorp’s “8 Dukes” (hottest young male stars), to get married, and his wife is apparently a year younger than him.

Xu Bin has also denied rumours that his wife is pregnant. Apparently, the couple have been planning their wedding for months now.
The couple it seems, first met at a friend’s birthday party, and Xu Bin has been quoted by Toggle as saying, “At the beginning, I was attracted to her because she was beautiful. As time went by, I realised that she’s a very outstanding person and is of wife material. She might give you a cold feeling when you first get to know her, but she’s easy to get along with once you know her better.”
He finally proposed to Yifei on a yacht at Sentosa, “We sailed out to sea and I proposed to her when we were out there.”
“I don’t think I did well with my proposal – I said whatever came to mind and I paused a lot in between. I almost even dropped the ring into the sea!”
Well, all’s well that end’s well, and Xu Bin seems to be dreaming of his family already. He hopes to have 2 or 3 children – and feels that, having a boy and a girl would be ideal.
News is, the couple are planning for a honeymoon at either the Maldives or Europe.
