Did you know that supermarket chain FairPrice has a members-only mega retail store? Groceries, fresh and frozen food, household essentials, they have it all!

Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre
This is a HUGE 35-year-old complex with loads of stalls, shops and offices. It is Singapore’s main wholesale market and distribution point for imported fruits and vegetables. Expect the freshest of groceries here!

Operating hours: Open 24 hours, most crowded from midnight to 6 am
Victoria Wholesale Centre
This centre specialises in Chinese New Year delicacies, especially dried food products, such as fish maw, almonds, wolfberries and dried scallops.
Some shops also sell basic essentials such as onions and garlic, while others sell plastic containers and plastic bags.
Go early for great prices. Prices may fluctuate closer to Chinese New Year.

Tai Sun
Go nuts at Tai Sun, which offers some great deals on your nutty favourites like peanuts, cashew nuts, almonds etc.

This is your one-stop shop for seafood. Apart from the usual suspects, they also sell stuff like caviar, lobster, tuna, and black tiger prawns. They offer festive platters and some great ready-made dishes and soups as well. You can even order online.
They will be closed for the first three days of CNY though, and will reopen only on Feb 19.
