31 May, 2016

Throwing your little one a birthday party and looking for that perfect cake? We posted the question on Facebook and asked our mummies and daddies for their recommendations...

Where to buy a birthday cake for first birthday party of your child?

Where to buy a birthday cake for first birthday party of your child?

Your little one's first birthday party is a very special occasion and because of this, parents love to celebrate it in a memorable way.

Something that really contributes to those precious 1st birthday memories is the birthday cake you choose for your child. But finding a birthday cake for your child's 1st birthday party that everyone will love can be a hard task.

So to make your task just a bit easier, we asked Singaporean mums and dads for their recommendations when it comes to ordering that perfect birthday cake for first birthday.

Here's what they had to say

Pine Gardens

Pine Gardens

Linda Chong "Pine Gardens at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10"

Yeow Puay Geok "A 2-tier cake is sweet for a 1st birthday celebration. I recommend Pine Gardens"

Eileen Lee "I like Pine Garden. Although the designs are simple, their 2-tier cakes are good."

GlynnisBaby Yan "I got my girl's 1st year cake from Pine Garden. Quite good."

Michelle Kan "Pine Gardens' Lychee Martini 'n Black Forest cakes are the best!!"

Samantha Bek "Pine Garden."

Geoffery Ho "Pine Garden @ Ang Mo Kio Ave 8"

Sherry Chia "Thumbs up for Pine Garden Lychee Martini."

Michelle Heng-Tan "Go down personally to Pine Gardens to select and order. The service there is not great because they're really busy, but like the other mummies, I can attest to the yummy cakes there. I got the 3-tier cakes for all my 3 kiddos from there - Black Forest, Triple Chocolate (I think!) and Lychee Martini! Yum Yum!"

Denise Tay "Pine Gardens not bad. I have been eating their cakes since I was a child."

Location: 529 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, #01-2369, 560529

Jack's Place

Patricea Chow-Capodieci "Where the cake comes from doesn't matter. What matters is that you take pictures of the entire celebration so that when she is older, she can look at them and know how much her parents love her. Have a great party! (I used to get cakes from Jack's Place)."

Audrey Gan "Depends on where are you in Singapore. Balmoral Bakery (Sunset Way) does very nice cakes that are not too sweet. Depends on what you are looking for though. I prefer simply designed cakes because of the colour factor in making elaborately designed cakes."
