4 Ways to use Jedi mind tricks on your husband

4 Ways to use Jedi mind tricks on your husband

In honour of Star Wars Day we thought we'd share some ways for wives to use "The Force" in their marriage!

These 4 simple Jedi mind tricks can be used to make sure your husband is doing what you want or need him to! Just don't go using your powers for the dark side, ladies!

Check out our list, and May the 4th be with you!

Be clear, ask direct questions

Be clear, ask direct questions

Men are undoubtedly less observant than women. Wives, you've probably noticed that now matter how many hints you drop to your husband, he's still not getting the big picture.

Unleash "The Force" by using direct language, and being as clear as possible. You sometimes need to just say what's on your mind so your silly husband can understand exactly what's going on, or what needs to be done.

He may not be a mind reader, but you can certainly use this helpful trick on his mind!

Use food as a treat or reward

Use food as a treat or reward

This isn't so much a "Jedi mind trick" as it is a "Jedi tummy trick". Either way, using food to treat your husband is a great way to get him to do what he needs to do.

For example, tell your husband if he does something you really wanted/needed him to do, you'll reward him with his favourite meal!

Food is a powerful tool and a powerful mind trick!

Figure out his language of love

Figure out his language of love

In the Star Wars universe, Jedis aren't permitted to display love...in reality there are tons of different ways to show your love. These distinctions are known as languages of love.

Everyone has a different language of love. If you haven't figured out your husband's language, now's the time!

There are about 5 different languages: verbal, acts of service, gift giving, spending time, and physical affection.

If you want to get your husband to do something he needs to, it's best to play to his preferred language! Either way, it's useful information going down the road.

Tell him you need him to listen, not advise

Tell him you need him to listen, not advise

This may be the toughest thing for your husband...even tougher than the Jedi trials.

Sometimes a wife just wants to complain, or vent about something and her husband will try to listen. But then he'll make the mistake of offering an unneeded solution!

While a little help is needed sometimes, men tend to give unnecessary solutions and it often leads to marital fight.

It's just a man's nature to attempt to problem solve. So what's a wife to do? Jedi mind trick of course!

Tell him you only need a listening ear and that you're not looking for the answer to a problem. Your just looking to get something off your chest. With that helpful mind trick, you'll find yourselves in less arguments!

If you have any insights, questions or comments regarding the topic, please share them with us!
