1. Tong Mern Sern Antiques Arts and Crafts
Think Grandfather’s Clocks, 1960s designed culinary sets and old paintings. Tong Mern Sern Antiques is filled with everything antique, even their shop license!

The shop was established in 1972 and hasn’t been refurbished or renovated since, to retain its historical concept. They operate by buying old things fromkarang guni men or from Sungei Road and then sell them as reasonable prices.
This is certainly one of the most exciting underrated places to go in Singapore.

2. Banana Boat @ Sentosa [CLOSED]
Sentosa is filled with so many family-oriented activities but to our surprise, there are still some that are still underrated, and most of these activities are held at Wavehouse, Sentosa.
Apart from the already popular ones like wake-boarding and water-surfing, many don’t know that there are actually banana boat activities here! Who says you have to go to places like Thailand and Indonesia to experience this?

3. Homerun Baseball [CLOSED]
This is an automated indoor baseball and softball batting cage location. It offers an opportunity to play recreational activities such as baseball and softball and is the perfect spot for families.
If you love to swing that bat and make a run for it, this is the place for you.
It’s most definitely one of the most underrated places to go in Singapore. For those who love baseball but are having trouble actually forming a baseball team, here is more information so you can join in.
4. Evernew Bookstore
Nothing is better than the smell of a new book. However, a book with dog ears, yellowed pages and well, pretty much a book that has seen better days proves that it’s going to be worth the read.

Evernew Bookstore at Bras Basah Complex sells second hand books consisting of classics such as those of Roald Dahl’s, Archie’s Comics and more. Even if you’re not looking for a book, come over to relive your memories as you chance upon the first few books you’ve read as a kid!

5. The Karting Arena
The Karting Arena offers the ultimate racing experience and is one of the most exciting underrated places to go in Singapore.

For those looking for the adrenaline rush, this is the place to be.
The area has electric powered karts, “weight distribution, electronic speed control and emergency shut down features, our safety priorities ensure a fun, fast, safe racing experience,” as their site claims. All true!

6. Orchid Bowl
What’s better than bowling? Bowling in the dark! Orchid Bowl offers Comic Bowling where the pins and balls glow-in-the-dark.

7. Durian Feast @ Geylang
Geylang’s unique atmosphere makes the whole durian feasting experience different from every other place. They sell amazing durians, both sweet and bitter to suit different taste buds.

Their durians taste so good, even when they’re not in season. Some patronise this place every single week! Here’s the thing, Geylang has more than one durian stall and all of them happen to sell equally amazing durians, so take your pick!

8. Underwater Hockey @ Queenstown Swimming Complex
Hockey, underwater? Why not? Queenstown Swimming Complex has underwater hockey sessions twice a week for everyone, regardless of gender.

Players will be equipped with snorkels and they play hockey in the form of sticks and a puck at the bottom of the pool. Experienced players will be available to guide you so, no worries!

9. Khatib Bongsu
The name doesn’t even ring a bell, I’m sure. Khatib Bongsu is located in the north region of Singapore and it’s mostly filled with mangroves. The exciting part is that you can actually kayak through the 7.5 km mangroves!
Toilets and showers are available and children must be accompanied by one adult. Don’t forget to bring sunblock and a change of clothes!

10. PAssion WaVe @ Marina Bay
Trust me when I say that not many people know about this. It is certainly one of the most fun underrated places to go in Singapore.

11. The Projector
The Projector plays movies that are not shown in our local cinemas such as indie films. Not many people know about this yet so it’s still an underrated cinema! Now that something that I would be excited about!

This cinema is also filled with bean bags. So, with bean bags and movies that aren’t screened locally, The Projector makes for an entirely new movie-going experience!
