Underwater World, Asia’s most famous oceanarium, is a popular tourist attraction in Singapore. This magical world beneath the sea has over twenty five hundred marine creatures falling under 250 species. This fantastic Underwater World was opened in the year 1991. Since then, more than 18 million people have come here to get drenched in the beauty beneath the sea.

Located on the “Pleasure Island” of Sentosa in Singapore, this Underwater World is a wonderful attraction presenting the rich aquatic life of the region. The people who come here to see the beauty of the sea animals are taken on a voyage below the water that starts with the sultry sandy beaches and not so deep rock pools at the edge of the water.

Besides showcasing the marvelous marine life, this Underwater World is also a great place to educate people about the aquatic life and its conservation. There are many educational and environmental projects in which this Underwater World is involved.

There is an 83 meter long enclosed channel that takes visitors along a submerged tunnel having glass windows through which the visitors can look at the diverse marine life.
