There has never been a better time to visit Jurong Bird Park as a family. Not only can your kids enter for free, they can also take advantage of the "Be a Junior Birdwatcher" activities.

Join Rico, the ultimate birdwatcher, in a special live show as he goes on a quest to find the lost Kaka bird. See him uncover the Kaka bird’s whereabouts with help from the audience.

Date: 7-29 June, on weekends only

Time: 1.30pm (30 minutes)

Venue: Waterfall Aviary Terrace (Level 2)

3. Let’s Go Birdwatching

3. Let’s Go Birdwatching

Set in the Waterfall Aviary – the world’s largest walk-in aviary – this activity invites kids to go on a mini birdwatching expedition, where they’ll learn about all the friendly inhabitants of the Aviary.

They can even play a game of spotting the birds and stand to win a prize!

There are over 600 free-ranging birds at Waterfall Aviary. Among the 50 species to look out for are turacos, starlings, rollers, guinea fowls and roseate spoonbills – so kids will really feel like true birdwatchers!

Date: 7-29 June, on weekends only

Time: 1.00pm & 2.00pm (30 minutes per session)

Venue: Waterfall Aviary

Note: Limited spaces only, registration required. Registration commences 30 minutes before activity at venue.

4. Junior Birdwatcher Academy

4. Junior Birdwatcher Academy

Kids have the chance to really explore nature and all its beauty this school holiday, thanks to Jurong Bird Park’s Junior Birdwatcher Academy.

Take them on an adventure into the colourful world of birds and let them document all that they experience in a fun and exciting way. Watch as they become enthralled by the life of the birds at the park.

Grab a junior birdwatcher logbook from the entrance of the park*, complete all tasks, and be awarded with a Junior Birdwatcher Certificate!

What’s more, kids can really get into the spirit of things with a fun bonus task —like face painting or doing some handy bird crafts!

Time: 12.00pm – 4.00pm

5. Bird Feeding at Waterfall Aviary

5. Bird Feeding at Waterfall Aviary

An impressive 30m man-made waterfall provides a backdrop to Waterfall Aviary, making it a wonderful home for the birds. With scenery like this, kids will feel like they have set foot into a world full of colourful surprises!

But that’s not even the best bit —they can get up close and ‘personal’ with the amazing birds! Kids have the chance to learn about the birds, see them close-up, and experience feeding* them.

Time: 10.30am & 2.30pm (15 minutes per session)

Venue: Waterfall Aviary
