The number one name for boys this year is Aiden which happens to be the same name for the past seven years in a row. Now, for lil’ ones in frilly pink, the top name is Sophia, which is the number one name for two years consecutively. Just like everything else, celebs influence our tastes in popular baby names. It must be the glitz, glam and luxury that we are lured to emulate them when it comes to naming our bubs. So, popular this year would be Kourtney Kardashian’s son Mason—coming in at number 3. Other pop culture influences that have yet to make it’s mark into the top 10 popular baby names list would be royal names like William, Kate, Harry and Pippa. Hmmm… we wonder why (who has not seen the live feed of the Royal wedding?) What about the ever popular girly addition to the Beckhams? —Harper (if that is even a name). Also, it’s not a surprise that Isabella and Jacob, characters from the ever popular Twilight saga franchise, have made it into the top 10 list. Check out the list below and tell us if any of the names appeal to you. RELATED: The baby naming process – getting inspired Popular baby names for boys in 2011 01. Aiden 02. Jackson 03. Mason 04.
