5 things you never knew about Club Med Bintan Island

5 things you never knew about Club Med Bintan Island

Bintan is fast becoming a hotspot for holidays and quick getaways. And to add on to the appeal of it as a family destination (especially if you’ve got kids in tow), Bintan is a mere 45 minute ferry ride away from the sunny shores of Singapore. Club Med Bintan is our favourite spot to hang with (and without) our kiddos as they give you the option of spending time with the whole family, and the kids having their own fun vacay with the new friends they make at the Kid’s Club. Parents can dip in the pool, sip on cocktails and indulge in the many activities Club Med has to offer. So this is definitely the place to be if you want a combination of both alone time to rediscover your sanity, and fun family time!

Before you shrug it off as just another island getaway, here are 5 really cool things you didn’t know you could do in Club Med Bintan.

#1 They have a flying trapeze school

#1 They have a flying trapeze school

A Club Med holiday also means a great variety of sports to choose from! With specialist GOs (Gentil Organisers) to guide you along, you can do your favourite sports with top quality equipment, and your lessons are included in your package.

Your kids will be delighted to take flight on this once in a lifetime experience! In true Club Med style, let the GOs entertain your kiddos the entire time they’re there. Trust us, they’d be having such a blast, you need not worry about them at all! The flying trapeze takes this vacay to such great heights - strap 'em up, and let them be free (all under close supervision, of course)!

#2 Kids get to perform on stage for parents

What do the kids do all day at the Kid’s Club? Rehearse to entertain their mummies and daddies at night! What could be more satisfying and heart-warming to watch your little bubs do a little dance with their new-found friends and be up on stage in front of everyone? It’s indeed a proud moment for all parents and many of them shed a tear (or two) just watching their kids confidently steal the show. Expect bold and colourful costumes, lights, camera and really… all that action! Not something you’ll get at any other holiday resort.

#3 Kids can order a drink from the bar!

#3 Kids can order a drink from the bar!

Yes, it’s legal! A soft drink or a juice, of course. But what a cool concept. We didn’t have to leave our kids out of the fun of the night- they stayed and partied (hard) just like us! My son walked up, ordered a ‘Don’t Tell Mama’ (drink made of Coke and Vanilla Syrup) like a boss and felt so accomplished!

PS - On the kids’ front: Between the Club Med Baby Welcome, the free access to nursery equipment, and the supervised activities of our Mini Club Med (from 4 to 10 years) and our Junior's Club Med (from 11 to 17 years), your little bubs are never going to want to leave!

#4 You can party on the beach with your kids all night long

#4 You can party on the beach with your kids all night long

What happens at Club Med… ends up on Facebook! Kids will absolutely love that they can actually be part of a beach party and get to know what the adults actually do at ‘no kids allowed’ parties. My sons stayed up with us till 1am, getting their groove on by the beach. The set-up was amazing - fairy lights, a lit- up stage, everything looked so pretty and Instagram-worthy! We kicked of the night with a poolside dinner (attended by all guests of the club) then headed down onto the sand with our dancing slippers on (or off). The beauty of this holiday is that you have everyone in the club all united as one, doing all the activities planned together. The homely feel and warmth of the GOs and the Chief of Village is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced anywhere else.
#5 You don’t take out a cent while on holiday

#5 You don’t take out a cent while on holiday

Yes, you heard us right! The best feature of a Club Med holiday is that it’s all inclusive. This makes your vacay a hassle-free one once you’re there. Your meals and refreshments are included in your package. Every meal is a feast of buffet spreads - you’ll be spoilt for choice. All activities within the resort are also covered. Flights, Transfers, Accommodations- allow yourself the privilege of not having to worry about it. They organise the appropriate transportation, as well as the transfers to and from your destination Village. You receive all the necessary information before departure (flight times, airline tickets, check-in times, etc.) Your only task: packing that suitcase.
