Rediscovering the Personal Lee Kuan Yew

While Mr. Lee Kuan Yew is celebrated for his pivotal role in shaping Singapore, the exhibition delves beyond his political persona to showcase his relatable side. The younger Mr. Lee grew up in the 1920s, enjoying simple childhood pleasures such as playing gasing (top-spinning), marbles, and even engaging in the timeless pursuit of keeping fighting fish.

This charming depiction of his youth is a reminder that even great leaders had humble beginnings and relatable childhood experiences. By doing so, the exhibition inspires young visitors to dream big and believe their aspirations can contribute to positive change within their communities and nation.
