Places in Singapore where you don't have to worry about stroller issues

Don't we Singaporeans just hate taking the stairs? Even worse when we're dealing with a stroller! While it seems like there aren't many stroller-friendly places in Singapore, you'd be surprised at our list of places where you can go with your little one without having to take them out of the stroller, ever! Well, at least not because of steps.

Here are 8 stroller-friendly places in Singapore.

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park

Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park is located at the heartland of central Singapore and is a favourite place for hang out and recreational activities for the young and old. There are two parks, one located in the Bishan district and one located in the Ang Mo Kio district.

The park has amazing waterways and canals with surrounding lush greenery that makes it scenic and a perfect place for picnics. The tracks in the park are also well-maintained, making it suitable for strollers. Additionally, there are also playgrounds and waterparks available for the older kids.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Singapore Botanic Gardens

Singapore Botanic Gardens is one of Singapore's most valued possessions, and was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 4 July 2015, also being Singapore's first on the list. The Botanic Gardens holds multiple attractions, both botanical and horticultural that are historical and beautiful.

You can stroll around the gardens with your little one in the stroller through the walking trails ranging from 40 to 90 minutes. Additionally, there's the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden where your kids will be thrilled with the fun-filled activities.

Changi Broadwalk

Changi Broadwalk

This 2.6km walking path has 6 sections where you and your family can catch breathtaking views of the coastline. This stroll will take you approximately 45 minutes and we recommend that you start from Changi Point Ferry Terminal.

Also, plan your route well so you'll be able to catch the sunset at the last leg; the Sunset walk.

The Southern Ridges

The Southern Ridges

Located near Hort Park, the southern ridges consists of 10km of lush greenery and open spaces that spans across Telok Blangah Hill Park, Mount Faber Park, Labrador Nature Reserve, Kent Ridge Park and Hort Park itself.

Aside from the very stroller-friendly walk ways, there are also play spaces for kids located in Hort Park that includes a pint-sized playhouse, slides as well as themed gardens filled with educational quizzes. And if you get hungry, Faber Peak Singapore offers amazing food.

Gardens by The Bay

Gardens by The Bay

Gardens by The Bay is the size of approximately 170 football fields and one of the most beautiful (and free) places in Singapore to take the family. The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest are filled with amazing displays that change once every few months.

The areas are mostly stroller-friendly as well. In fact, Gardens by The Bay is one of the most stroller-friendly places in Singapore! There are also F&B restaurants aside from the fast food restaurants; Texas Chicken and Macdonalds.

Pasir Ris Mangrove Forest

Pasir Ris Mangrove Forest

At Pasir Ris Park, you'll be marvelled by a thriving habitat of unique plants and animals. Its 6-hectare mangrove forest has a stroller-friendly broad walk where you can get up close with the mud crabs, mudskippers and water monitors.

You can also squeeze in a bit of a picnic time since you're there. Also, don't miss out on the sunrise!

River Safari

River Safari

The design of River Safari enables parents with strollers to navigate through the whole place, worry free. Also, River Safari is mostly sheltered so you don't have to worry about the scorching hot weather or the unpredictable rain.

Don't forget to visit the safari's main attraction: the pandas, Kaikai and JiaJia. You can stroll through the aircon enclosure while your kids get fascinated with the bamboo eating cuties.

Sembawang Park

Sembawang Park

Sembawang Park is actually a fairly under-rated park located in the north region. It holds strong historical links with the British Colonial era, obvious from the distinctive black-and-white bungalows leading the way into the park.

The luscious greenery and wide open spaces is a welcome change from the bustling sights and sounds of Singapore. It is also stroller-friendly, including its new war themed playground! You can also visit the Sembawang beach to end the walk.
