According to the Shin Min Daily, the sperm quality of Singapore men is low and lags far behind international standards. *Gasp* – We were as shock as you about this revelation!

So it turns out that in terms of sperm quality, the sperm count and sperm motility, local men seem to pass the test. *Phew*…but there’s a problem with the sperm head. Healthy sperm have head shapes that are pointed which allows sperm to penetrate the eggs’ outer surface more easily. However, the sperm of local men have heads that are more commonly round or oval in shape.

Also low is the number of sperm donors in Singapore. According to Singapore General Hospital, only 3-5 men come forward to donate sperm each year.
