Healthy sperm have head shapes that are pointed which allows sperm to penetrate the eggs’ outer surface more easily. However, the sperm of local men have heads that are more commonly round or oval in shape.
Also low is the number of sperm donors in Singapore. According to Singapore General Hospital, only 3-5 men come forward to donate sperm each year.
