And, don’t forget to indulge in some Diwali shopping and take home beautiful handicrafts and traditional attire. The festivities await!

For an enchanting Christmas shopping experience in Singapore, make sure to visit popular malls like Orchard Road, VivoCity, and ION Orchard, where you’ll find a delightful array of festive decorations, exclusive gifts, and holiday promotions.

Entitlement and Pay

  • Remember, if you are required to work on a public holiday, your employer needs to pay you an extra day’s salary or grant you off in lieu.
  • In case the holiday falls on a rest day, the next working day will be a paid holiday. However, if you are not covered by the Employment Act, it will be as mentioned in your contract.
  • If you are absent without reason on a working day before or after the holiday, you are not entitled to holiday pay. Your employer can deduct one day’s pay at the gross rate from your monthly gross salary.

So plan next year’s holidays according to this list and enjoy safe travels.

Embrace the Magic of Singapore Holiday 2023

As we conclude this midyear edition guide to Singapore Holiday 2023, it’s clear that Lion City has an abundance of delightful getaways to offer.

Furthermore, from the grand celebrations of National Day, and the cultural richness of Deepavali, to the joyous ambience of Christmas, each holiday presents a unique opportunity to explore and experience the best of Singapore.
