Singapore continues to be blanketed by the haze, which shows no signs of going away.
At 8pm today (24 September), Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) climbed to 317. The 24 hour reading at the same time was 215-263, and seemed to be heading into the very unhealthy range for the first time this year.
As a result the Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that all primary and secondary schools across Singapore will close on Friday (Sept 25) due to worsening haze conditions. It is suspected that the PSI readings may well cross into hazardous level.
As a precautionary measure, all kindergartens run by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and special education schools will also be closed.

The Ministry of health already has a Haze subsidy in place. But there are ways in which you can protect your family, through TCM remedies, through air purifying plants, wearing masks, and putting air purifiers in the house.
Do stay indoors and restrict activity. We hope that everyone stays healthy and well and that the haze soon passes.
