Singapore Art Museum’s Think! Contemporary Preschool exhibition returned for its sixth edition at HarbourFront Centre. Hello Future became its largest cohort yet, featuring 24 preschools and 14 artworks that explored themes of identity, community and the environment.

Highlights:

  • Preschoolers, guided by teachers and inspired by SAM exhibitions, created expressive artworks and stories about Singapore’s past, present and future.

  • Weekend hands-on art activities and upcycled crafts were led by students from the National Institute of Early Childhood Development.

The Singapore Food Festival (SFF) 2025 rolled into the East for a weekend at Downtown East, transforming the open plaza into a mobile culinary playground. Visitors savoured Singapore’s favourite flavours as the city’s dynamic food scene took to the streets at the Food Truck City Tours on 6 and 7 September.

Highlights:

  • Heritage Truck: Local hits with a twist by chefs from IHG Hotels & Resorts, including Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Taco and Singapore Laksa with Baby Abalone.

  • Innovation Truck: Bold Indian-Singaporean fusion like Masala Prawn Dosa Tacos by The Maha Co by Yung Raja.

  • Contemporary Truck: Event-exclusive bites by Hello Arigato (Singapore Satay Sando, Matcha Pandan Cloud) and debut pop-up from Sydney-based Sweet 11:11.

  • Bar on Wheels Truck: Premium wines by NTUC Club’s My Wine & Dine Kaki (MWDK), $11 per glass during happy hour (11am–7pm) or $14 evening pours (7–9pm).

Venue: Island-wide, anchored by four Design Districts – Bras Basah, Bugis, Marina, Orchard, and the debuting Singapore Science Park

Singapore Design Week 2025 (SDW 2025) marks its biggest edition yet as the nation celebrates its 60th birthday. Organised by DesignSingapore Council, this year’s theme “Nation by Design” showcases how design has powered Singapore’s progress and how it will shape the future.

Highlights:

  • Four Design Districts: From experimental installations at Bras Basah, Bugis and Marina to youth-led dialogues at Orchard and a brand-new living lab at Singapore Science Park.

For the first time, Singapore Science Park joins Singapore Design Week as a brand-new Design District, and it’s bringing big ideas to life. Anchored on the theme ‘REINVENTION,’ this 11-day activation shows how design and innovation aren’t just for professionals but for everyone, including kids.

  • Meet the Robots of Tomorrow: Friendly machines assist, learn and collaborate, blurring the line between sci-fi and real life.

  • BYOX Fair: A playground of quirky, sensor-powered experimental works for hands-on fun.

The Liberation of Singapore programme marked the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in Singapore. Hosted by Changi Chapel and Museum and Reflections at Bukit Chandu, it revisited the pivotal event of 12 September 1945. The programme encouraged visitors to reflect on themes of identity, resistance and reconciliation.

Highlights:

  • Thought-provoking conversations and immersive heritage experiences

  • Exhibitions and storytelling about Singapore’s wartime history

14 September 2025: Inaugural 7-Eleven Run

Admission: Paid registration (5 km, 10 km, or 7-Eleven Quest categories)

The first-ever 7-Eleven Run took place on Sunday, 14 September 2025 at Marina Barrage, blending fitness, fun and community impact at one of Singapore’s most scenic spots. Guest-of-Honour President Tharman Shanmugaratnam joined the event, which offered 5 km and 10 km race categories as well as the family-friendly, Amazing Race–style 7-Eleven Quest.

Highlights:

  • Debut of the 7-Eleven Run at Marina Barrage

  • Participation of Guest-of-Honour President Tharman Shanmugaratnam

  • Choice of 5 km, 10 km and interactive 7-Eleven Quest categories

  • Launch of a nationwide partnership with Singapore Children’s Society, with 7-Eleven pledging 10 cents from every 7-Select Egg and Cheese Sandwich sold across 460+ stores (targeting S$40,000 annually)

Art Works Gallery presents “Sacred Echoes: A Celebration of First Nations Australian Artists,” a landmark exhibition opening on 18 September 2025 at One Holland Village. This showcase offers Singaporeans a rare chance to experience museum-grade Aboriginal art up close.

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with PAssionArts across Singapore, where communities come together for art, culture, and festive fun. Expect lantern light-ups, colourful craft booths, captivating performances, and community-created artworks that reflect neighbourhood stories and traditions.

  • Admiralty PAssionArts Festival

    • Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

    • Location: Vista Park, 583 Woodlands Drive 16, Singapore 730580

    • Highlights: 3-metre-tall flower vase installation co-created by residents, origami flower-making, henna artistry, colouring, and DIY lantern-making.

  • Kampong Glam PAssionArts Festival

    • Time: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

    • Location: Zhongshan Park, Balestier Road

    • Highlights: Batik painting inspired by the Dragon Playground, tote bag painting with orchid motifs, 3D cover books of local food icons, lantern riddles, storytelling of Chang’e & Hou Yi, face-changing performance, and resident busking.

  • Additional Mid-Autumn PAssionArts Festivals

    • Other neighbourhoods will also light up with lantern walks, craft activities, and community art installations, offering photo-worthy and family-friendly celebrations across the island.

 

20 – 31 October: Halloween Events – SuperPark, Pororo Park, and Tayo Station

SuperPark Singapore Halloween Event 2025

Venue: SuperPark Singapore

Schedule:

  • Trick-or-Treats: 20–24 October & 27–31 October, 1 pm–5 pm

  • SuperSpook: 18 October, 25 October & 1 November, 6 pm–9 pm

    Admission: Ticketed (check SuperPark for details)

This October, SuperPark Singapore transforms into a top-secret science lab for Halloween. Families can enjoy Trick-or-Treats or take on SuperSpook, a scarier after-dark experience with live scare actors and eerie glowing décor for older kids and teens.

 

Pororo Park & Tayo Station Spooktacular 2025

Venues: Pororo Park Singapore & Tayo Station Singapore

Schedule:

  • Trick-or-Treats: 18–19 October, 25–26 October, 1–2 November (after character sessions)

  • Scavenger Hunt: 20–24 October & 27–31 October (multiple time slots daily)

  • Special Halloween Dance: Daily at Pororo Park during “Jolly with Pororo & Friends”; weekends at Tayo Station during Meet & Greet

    Admission: Regular park admission applies

Both indoor playgrounds bring back their month-long “Spooktacular” celebrations with whimsical décor, trick-or-treat adventures, scavenger hunts and special Halloween dances led by beloved characters. This year’s story features the Pumpkin Pals’ Tangled House, where kids help clear mischievous spiders and bring back the Halloween magic.

 

25 October: Spill The Fertili-Tea Event Series

The O&G Specialist Clinic presents Spill The Fertili-Tea, a series of educational events designed to spark open conversations about women’s health and fertility. Happening from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, the sessions include:

  • Egg Freezing: Future-Proof Your Fertility – 8 November 2025

  • From Periods to Parenthood – 22 November 2025

Participants can also access the Future Fertility Screening at an exclusive event-only rate, which includes blood tests and follow-up consultations available on-site.

Back after a sold-out debut, Singapore’s first-ever Nature Film Festival returns for its second year. Running 31 October–2 November, Earth in Focus is bigger, bolder and packed with films, panels and hands-on activities that spotlight sustainability and biodiversity.

Highlights:

  • Opening Night – Oceans & Awards: Celebrating ocean solutions and the filmmakers/photographers behind them.

  • Emerging Voices: Ten Media Lab storytellers presenting films on urban wildlife and ocean plastic.

  • Film Picks: Her Shark Story (Ignacio Walker), Would You Still Love Me If I Were a Sticky Frog?, Leopard Dynasty – The Rise of Rana.

  • Panels & Talks: Turtle biologists on “Shells to Shore”; responsible travel experts on “Journeys to Justice”; plus masterclasses with Nadya Hutagalung, Chien C. Lee, Aishwarya Sridhar and more.

Gateway Theatre held its inaugural Sunshine Festival, a celebration of intergenerational connections, active ageing, and chasing new dreams even at midlife and beyond. Over ten days, the festival flipped the script on ageing with performances, workshops, and talks that championed seniors pursuing new dreams in music and performance and families who cheered them on.

Highlights:

  • For All Ages: Children, adults and grandparents sang, laughed, and enjoyed together.

  • Star Power: Fans caught artistes from all three seasons of TVB’s hit reality show Midlife, Sing & Shine! (《中年好声音》) in an inspiring two-night-only musical concert on 6 & 7 November.

  • Wide Range of Activities: Free and ticketed performances, workshops and talks were designed for families, grandparents and grandchildren.

Toy Factory brings its first-ever feel-good Mandarin family comedy to the stage this November. Radin Mas, Who? runs 14–23 November 2025 at SCCC, offering humour, warmth and kampung spirit for all ages.

Highlights:

  • The Story: Set in Telok Blangah Community Centre, the play follows migrant workers and local residents as they rehearse the legend of Radin Mas, weaving a playful, heartfelt tale of laughter, identity and unexpected friendships.

  • Why It’s Special: Marks Toy Factory’s first Mandarin family comedy and is presented in collaboration with SCCC under the SG Culture Pass initiative to make theatre more accessible to families and young audiences.

Launched in June 2025, The Great Ocean Dash is a nationwide ocean conservation campaign uniting corporates, communities and individuals through beach and underwater cleanups, education, and public engagement. With SpongeBob SquarePants™ as its mascot, the campaign makes ocean action exciting and relatable for families, youth and organisations.

Highlights:

  • Pop Culture Meets Purpose: SpongeBob SquarePants™ and friends bring playful energy to ocean conservation.

  • Marine Cleanups & Outreach: Partners and volunteers remove litter and run education programmes nationwide.

  • Finale Event – Fun Run & Fest: On 23 November at Palawan Green, participants can join 3KM or 5KM run categories, then enjoy a SpongeBob SquarePants™-themed Fun Fest with sustainability booths, interactive games, photo ops and activities for all ages.
