Restrictions to Operations, Advanced Bookings

There will be restrictions to operations for most attractions at no more than 25 per cent of their capacity. Visitors are also required to pre-book their tickets online.

The three parks, Jurong Bird Park, River Safari and Singapore Zoo, will be open only to members from 3 July (Friday). The general public will have to wait until 6 July (Monday), according to the Wildlife Reserves Singapore.

The Night Safari is slated to reopen at a later date.

Both Universal Studios theme park and SEA Aquarium will reopen four days a week, starting out with staggered operating hours. Advance reservations are also required.

Visitors who are looking to buy tickets to enter the Flower Dome will have to do so via their website from 7 July. You can also get tickets from their newly launched app when it is available for download from Monday.

With integrated resort (IR) Marina Bay Sands, set to re-start more of its operations from 1 July 2020, after nearly three months of closure due to the COVID-19 situation, safe management measures have to be adhered to in the re-opening of the ArtScience Museum, Sands SkyPark Observation Deck and the Casino.

The IR only allows existing casino members and annual levy holders to enter the two casinos.

Further Measures to Ensure Safety

While some of the park activities will be suspended to ensure safe distancing said Mr Mike Barclay, group chief executive of Mandai Park Holdings, there are enhanced measure to ensure well-being of visitors.

“We have stepped up our disinfection protocols and the application of contactless payment solutions, and we will use technology to help us monitor in-park numbers and spacing within our parks,” he said.

More attractions and tour activities are also slated to resume, but subjected to STB’s assessment of their proposals.

To further reassure visitors, STB said that they will step up on efforts to ensure more tourism business (including attractions) apply for the SG Clean certification that prides on a heightened standard of cleaning, hygiene and sanitisation.

“While it will be some time before Singapore can fully welcome international visitors, we hope Singaporeans and residents of Singapore will enjoy what our tourism businesses have to offer, in a socially responsible way,” said Mr Keith Tan, Chief Executive of STB.
