The answer is a resounding 'YES!' and done in extremely enchanting and interactive ways. You can see it for yourself at the Interplay exhibition at the Singapore Science Centre, from now till 16 August.

Formed by a gathering of the world’s best digital media artists and Singapore’s very own local talent, Interplay celebrates diverse blends of artistic genres, scientific domains and technological directions.

The exhibition hopes to spark deeper and more meaningful conversations about technology and its societal implications.

Don’t miss the Deep Space installation that allows visitors to experience the micro and macro-cosmos in crystal-clear images. We bet that you and the kids will be completely enthralled and have experiences that will at times seem to be out-of-this world!

As part of our nation’s SG50 celebrations, Science Centre Singapore will be providing free general admission from 7 to 10 August 2015 to all Singapore citizens as part of Golden Jubilee Celebrations @ Science Centre Singapore.

Singapore citizens will also receive free admission to six other attractions - the "Human Body Experience" exhibition, "Interplay: Where Science Meets Art" exhibition; KidsSTOP™, Snow City, The Cliff @ Snow City and the Omni-Theatre.

Citizens only need to present their NRIC/valid passport/NS identity card/Pioneer Generation card at each attraction to gain admission. Each card will admit the holder and up to four children below the age of 16. All other visitors may purchase day passes at ticketing counters, for $25 each.

For kids who love art, colours and fun, HFC is organizing the SG50 Art Competition for children aged 4 to 10 years old! Children can showcase their creativity on how they would like to celebrate this joyous occasion in their artwork.

Submissions are open from now till 27 July 2015. Participants may pick up the drawing sheets from the Customer Service Counter at level 1 or Level 3 at Global Art. All artworks are to be submitted by hand to drop off boxes located at the Customer Service Counter on level 1 or on level 3. There are will be two age categories, 4-6 years and 7-10 years. Winners from each category will win prizes up to $500.

Announcement of the winners will be made on 9 August 2015, National Day and shoppers get to enjoy free popcorns, candy floss, participate in fun activities and magic shows. To enjoy the SG50 promotions on Sentosa, you have to first get on the island. Thankfully, from March to 31 December 2015, there is free entry via the Sentosa Boardwalk as well as free drive-in for cars and taxis after 5pm on weekdays (excluding public holidays).

From 15 July to 10 August 2015 10am - 6pm, admission to Fort Siloso will be free of charge. Ticket prices still apply for the Surrender Chamber and guided tours.

There will also be a fun and free experience every day of the Golden Jubilee Weekend: Friday, 7 Aug, 8.40pm - Wings of Time show Saturday, 8 Aug, 10am - 8pm - Sentosa Merlion attraction Sunday, 9 Aug, 10am - 6pm - Free guided tours of Fort Siloso Monday, 10 Aug, 8.45am - 10pm - Free Cable Car Joyrides

LEGO has recently launched their SG 50 Campaign titled ‘Rebuild Your Memories’, encouraging Singaporeans to turn back the clock and rebuild some of their most fond memories of Singapore using LEGO. 

After running a competition via Facebook, LEGO received some great responses! From July 21st - 30th, LEGO will be holding a SG50 event at Raffles City Shopping Centre displaying the winning pieces  and will hold a live construction of an 8.5ft Dragon Playground by a LEGO Certified Builder.

To commemorate Singapore’s 50th Birthday, LEGO has also launched 4 Limited Edition Mini Builds featuring 4 Singapore icons such as Cable Car, Ice Cream Bike, HDB Flats and Dragon Playground.

Titled "SG50’s Biggest Fan", the winner of the contest will be rewarded with an experience of a lifetime – a 1 night Airbnb staycation at the Esplanade Theatre stage with three loved ones and four tickets to the National Day Parade over the Jubilee Weekend.

Leveraging Airbnb’s expertise at providing unique experiences, the Esplanade Theatre stage will be transformed into a home. Styled to the theme "A Night through Time", the home will remind its guests of 1960s Singapore, in all its elegance and simplicity.

Head to Marina Bay Sands during the Golden Jubilee Weekend to enjoy exhibitions, skating, and sampan rides.

From 7-9 Aug 2015, Singaporeans and permanent residents get free entry to the ArtScience Museum and skating rink. Exhibitions at the museum include Dreamworks Animation, The Deep, and a photo exhibition presented by The Straits Times, Singapore STories: Then, Now, Tomorrow.

Enjoy the use of the skating rink for free or ride the sampan along the canal that runs through The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands at 50 per cent off (usual price: $10 a person).

Singaporeans and permanent residents aged 65 and above also pay half price for the ArtScience Museum exhibition every Monday till the end of the year.
