How Students Can Report To Their New Secondary School

In line with the ongoing regulations of COVID-19, MOE said that students do not need to physically report their posted secondary schools on the next working day when they receive their S1 Posting Results this year.

Students are advised to refer to their posted schools’ websites instead for more information such as instructions on online purchasing of books, their uniforms, booklist as well as the reporting details starting from 22 December. On the same day, parents of students from the incoming S1 cohort who are part of Parents Gateway (PG) will also receive instructions from the posted schools from the afternoon of 22 December.

If the student has a valid reason for being unable to report to their posted secondary school on the first day of classes on 4 January 2021, they may directly contact their posted secondary school to confirm that they will be taking up the place so that the school can reserve a spot for them.

More information is available on MOE’s official website for secondary school posting 2020 or the information booklet “Choosing Your Secondary Schools” that was distributed to Primary 6 students. You may also contact MOE here for further enquiry.
