Recall: "Smiggle Build A Light" night light - Choking hazard

2 min read
product recall

Read on for the product recall details of “Smiggle Build A Light”

A night light may be a handy item to have in your kids’ bedroom, especially if they need to be reassured about sleeping in the dark. However, it is important to check that the night light does not put your child’s safety at risk – which was recently discovered  with the “Smiggle Build A Light” night light.

Smiggle Singapore Pte Ltd has issued a voluntary product recall of the “Smiggle Build A Light” (line number: 411557), which was sold at Smiggle stores island-wide and online at smiggle.com from 7 February to 18 February 2015.

Turns out, the screw that secures the battery compartment of the product is missing. This makes the product unsafe for kids, as they could easily remove the lid and place the battery in their mouths, posing a choking and ingestion hazard.

What to do:

If your kids are currently using “Smiggle Build A Light” as a night light in their bedroom, you are strongly advised to stop using it and return it to Smiggle for a refund, exchange or in-store repair.

For more information about this recall, please refer to Smiggle’s Recall Information or contact Smiggle at 6356 5986.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

This recall only applies to “Smiggle Build A Light” purchased between 7 February and 18 February 2015. Please be assured that units sold after this date have been fully repaired.
