Process of Primary School Registration in Singapore 2022

Preparing your kid for primary school? Here's the process of primary school registration in Singapore 2022 for a hassle-free experience.

For parents who want to register their children who were born between January 2, 2016, and January 1, 2017 (inclusive) for their local primary schools, they should take note of the P1 primary school registration exercise this year 2022. Due to the COVID-19 that has caused a pandemic, all P1 registration will be conducted online just like how they did for the past 2 years.

What should I know about the primary school registration?

Before you decide to register your kid for Phase 1, you should first choose the right school that balances their wants and needs. You should also consider looking for a school near where you live so your child can minimise the travel time.

During the registration process, you should already have the documents needed with your child’s full name, date of birth, birth certificate number, and home address. They will also require you to provide your contact details such as e-mail address, telephone number, and cellphone number.

Before registration: Choose a primary school to register your kid

Here’s a list of primary schools you can get your kid into as the first step before you can register. Choosing a school for your child depends on a balance between their needs and your preferences. There are certain factors to consider when choosing a school such as address and distance of your home address.
