With Singapore launching its pilot initiative for a Car-free Sunday, it might be the perfect time to rent a bike and explore the outdoors. Bicycling around town, or along the beach in East Coast is a great way to discover the city, and get some fresh air.
For singles and families looking for a two-wheeled adventure, here is a round up of some of the best places in Singapore, to hire your wheels.
The Bicycle Hut, conveniently located in the centre of town is the perfect place to rent if you want to explore the city on a bike. Serving tourists, expatriates and locals, the Bicycle Hut, rents a variety of bicycles from the Dura Fixie (Single Speed), Raleigh Mini Velos MV7 to Schwinn Cruiser One Black.
They have bicycles with child seats for the little ones, and child bicycles for the older lot. The company provides guides to customers on possible scenic routes in the city, where traffic is not overbearing. They have also partnered with Let’s Go Bike Singapore for guided tours across the city.
Cost of rental: SGD 20 per hour, comes with a child seat and helmet. Self pick up.

Hello, Bicycle! is a company that specializes in city bicycles and not mountain bikes. Maksimenko Irina retails bicyles at her store, and renting bicycles is one area of her business. “Our bicycles are of top-notch quality, mostly European and American brands."
"Our rental customers too get bikes which are almost new,” says Irina. Our pricing includes a helmet, lock and lights (for night time biking). The bikes are all visually appealing: very colorful with pretty rattan baskets attached. Call in advance to reserve, as rental quantities are limited.
Rentals start from SGD 30 (for 6 hours), and SGD40 for a day’s rental. Self pick up. For delivery, there is an additional charge of SGD 35 one way.

If you are looking to rent a bike, along the East Coast area, check out Coastline Leisure. They have a wide variety of cycles on offer, from children bicycles to mountain bicycles. While you can rent a bike here, and drive it around Singapore, most people rent to explore the area around East Coast beach.
Rentals are between SGD 6-10 per hour, depending on the bicycle that you rent.
This is another great bike rental company, if you want to rent around the East Coast area. They have several renting booths (called PCN Pitstops) along the East Coast park area and Changi Beach park area. They have a wide variety of bicycles for puttering around - both for kids and adults. Baby seats and double bikes are available.

If you are looking to have your bike delivered to your doorstep, choose rent-a-bike. Unlike other bicycle rental companies, they do not have a retail outlet, allowing them to deliver bicycles to your doorstep. They only specialize in mountain bicycles, and provide a helmet and lock.
Bicycle rental rates, range between SGD 30-40 and includes free delivery to your home. There is a minimum order of SGD 225, so you must rent 5 bikes or rent for five days!

Biking Singapore specializes in foldable bikes or foldies, which are easy to lug around. If you are looking to rent a bike, to explore some of the tourist attractions in the city, rent out the Tern Link C7, or choose the Tern Link P9 for longer terrains. They have the added service of delivering the bicycle to your home or hotel, and collecting it when you are finished.
Bicycle rentals start at SGD 35 for three hours, or SGD 60 for a full day rental.

They have a wide variety of bikes on offer: kids bikes, mountain bikes, cruise bikes, family bike and fixie bike. They also own a 8000 square feet land around their store, where customers can rent bicycles to ride around.
Cost of rental is SGD 25, and go up to SGD 88 for a family bike.
