From water parks to adventure courses, here's a comprehensive list your the adventurous little ones

Parents, we understand how hard it is for you to come up with weekend activities.

So we’ve come up with a list of places that will surely excite your kids, and they don’t include famous (and probably already visited) touristy attractions!

Get ready to take down notes!

#1 Children’s Garden at Gardens By The Bay

Situated at the far end of Gardens By the Bay, the Children’s Garden has been a well-loved place for kids and tourists, especially if you’re looking for something that can cool you off after walking around the gardens!

The best thing about this place is that swimwear is not compulsory. However, it is a must to remove any form of footwear before entering the water play area. Admission is free and there is also a cafe for the hungry ones!

Opening Hours: Tuesdays – Fridays: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm Weekends and Public Holidays: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm

 

#2 Forest Adventure @ Bedok Reservoir

Forest Adventure is located at Bedok reservoir with 3 different outdoor obstacle courses that are suited for both adults and children, ages 4 and above.

Parents, do note that the obstacle courses do not come with supervision. But not to worry, a full safety briefing will be given before the course where you or your kids will get the green light once they think you’re good to go.

#3 iSnap Selfie Studio

But first, let us take a selfie! ISnap is an interactive photo booth studio situated in Bugis. Customers will get their own room where they can take pictures with the props that they’ve chosen for their theme and then proceed to print the photos, all without the help of a professional photographer!

Princess themes, superhero themes or even wedding themes are possible with iSnap, so forgo the awkwardness and take as many photos as you want. Do note that booking is necessary!

#4 Open House @ Fire Stations

For future fire fighters, this one’s for you. Every Saturday, fire stations in Singapore will host open houses from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.

At these open houses, kids will learn what it’s like being a fire fighter; responding to fire & rescue calls, the different vehicles available at the stations and your kids can even experience riding the Red Rhino!

#5 D’Resort – Downtown East

D’Resort @ Downtown East has family oriented rooms that are ideal for families who are looking for weekend staycations. Their rooms are filled with decorations that includes wall murals that are sure to delight your kids.

D’Resort is also right beside Wild Wild Wet where you and your kids can go for some water fun or you can also opt for bowling and karaoke at Downtown East!

#6 KidsSTOP

At KidsStop, kids ages 5-12 years old will be amazed at the many different science zones that come with hands-on activities and programmes such as thrill rides and role play stations which will be educational and at the same time fun for all.

Located at the OMNI Theatre, KidsStop also has holiday programmes for kids aged 4-8 years old. So if your kids are interested in the science behind bubbles or technology, you know where to sign up!

#7 Amazonia

Amazonia is Singapore’s first fully themed park, situated in 9500 square feet air conditioned facility in Great World City Mall. Amazonia is a family-oriented place where both parents and kids can play and dine together.

Amazonia has many different play zones such as Space Ball, Jungle Play Gym and Toddler Play which makes this place suitable for kids of all ages.

#8 Port of Lost Wonder

Located at Palawan Beach, your kids will be thrilled with the different outdoor activities which includes a water play area where a huge pirate ship awaits them.

The highlight of POLW is that your kid will be given a Port Pass where they can collect stamps from taking part in the activities. Collection of stamps will then enable them to win different prizes!

#9 Splash-N-Surf

One of the newest water parks in Singapore, Splash & Surf is located at Singapore Sports Hub and has a variety of water activities such the water play area, kids pool, Stingray® and lazy river.

For the kids taller than 1.2m, bodyboarding and skimboarding is available at the Stringray, which happens to be one of the highlights of Splash & Surf! Splash & Surf also comes with shower and locker facilities which are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

#10 Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden

Opened in 2007, Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden is the first garden designated for children in Asia. Here, children learn and explore while having fun through interactive installations and fun-filled activities.

Children can learn more about nature through zones such as the Sensory Garden, where children can learn more about their senses through the interactive activities.
